पांवटा साहिब के पीएम श्री राजकीय छात्र वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला पांवटा साहिब में आयोजित 69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूल गेम्स अंडर-14 (छात्र) वॉलीबॉल चैंपियनशिप 2025-26 के अवसर पर शिक्षा मंत्री रोहित ठाकुर ने बतौर मुख्यातिथि शिरकत की तथा दीप प्रज्वलित कर इस प्रतियोगिता का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया। रोहित ठाकुर ने कहा कि इस 5 दिवसीय वॉलीबॉल चैंपियनशिप में देश भर के 32 राज्यों/केन्द्रशासित प्रदेशों के 381 प्रतिभागियों सहित 80 कोच तथा ऑफिशल भाग ले रहे है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में एक दशक के बाद राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की जा रही है, इससे पहले 2016 में आयोजित हुई थी। उन्होंने कहा कि अंडर-14 (छात्र) वॉलीबॉल चैंपियनशिप पांवटा साहिब के उपरांत जिला सोलन के नालागढ़ में अंडर-19 (छात्रा) कबड्डी प्रतियोगिता 19 से 23 जनवरी 2026 तक तथा बिलासपुर के घुमारवीं में 01 से 05 फ़रवरी 2026 तक अंडर-19(छात्रा) हैंडबॉल प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा इन प्रतियोगिताओं के आयोजन हेतू एक करोड़ की राशि स्वीकृत की गई है।

Education Minister Rohit Thakur attended the 69th National School Games Under-14 (Boys) Volleyball Championship 2025-26, held at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School in Paonta Sahib, as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the competition by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Rohit Thakur said that 381 participants from 32 states/union territories across the country, along with 80 coaches and officials, are participating in this 5-day volleyball championship. He said that national-level competitions are being held in the state after a decade, the last one having been held in 2016. He further stated that after the Under-14 (Boys) Volleyball Championship in Paonta Sahib, the Under-19 (Girls) Kabaddi competition will be held in Nalagarh, Solan district, from January 19 to 23, 2026, and the Under-19 (Girls) Handball competition will be held in Ghumarwin, Bilaspur, from February 1 to 5, 2026. He added that the state government has sanctioned an amount of one crore rupees for the organization of these competitions.
