नशा तस्करी के विरुद्ध चलाए जा रहे विशेष अभियान के तहत पांवटा साहिब पुलिस को एक और अहम सफलता मिली है। स्पेशल डिटेक्शन टीम (एसडीटी) ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर पल्होड़ी क्षेत्र में नाकाबंदी कर मोटरसाइकिल सवार एक युवक को गिरफ्तार किया। तलाशी के दौरान मोटरसाइकिल के टूल बॉक्स से 136 ग्राम अफीम बरामद की गई। आरोपी की पहचान मुस्तकिम पुत्र महमूद, निवासी रहिमा कॉलोनी छछरौली, जिला यमुनानगर (हरियाणा) के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने आरोपी को मौके पर हिरासत में लेकर थाना माजरा में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस अधिकारियों के अनुसार आरोपी से पूछताछ के लिए न्यायालय से पुलिस रिमांड लिया जा रहा है, ताकि यह पता लगाया जा सके कि नशे की खेप कहां से लाई गई थी और इसे कहां सप्लाई किया जाना था। मामले की गहन जांच जारी है।

In a significant breakthrough as part of a special campaign against drug trafficking, Paonta Sahib police have achieved another success. Based on a tip-off, the Special Detection Team (SDT) set up a roadblock in the Palhori area and apprehended a young man on a motorcycle. During a search, 136 grams of opium were recovered from the motorcycle’s toolbox. The accused has been identified as Mustakim, son of Mahmood, a resident of Rahima Colony, Chhachhrauli, Yamunanagar district (Haryana). The police took the accused into custody on the spot and registered a case against him under the NDPS Act at Majra police station. According to police officials, they are seeking police remand from the court to interrogate the accused and determine the source of the drugs and their intended destination. A thorough investigation into the matter is underway.
