सिरमौर जिले के पुलिस थाना नाहन की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए बाल्मिकी बस्ती नाहन से हेरोइन/चिट्टा बेचने के आरोप में एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस को गश्त के दौरान सूचना प्राप्त हुई थी कि सोहन लाल पुत्र स्वर्गीय अमरनाथ, निवासी मकान नंबर 293/13, मोहल्ला बाल्मिकी बस्ती नाहन, काफी समय से मादक पदार्थ हेरोइन/चिट्टा बेचने के धंधे में संलिप्त है और पूर्व में भी इसी मामले में जेल जा चुका है। सूचना में यह भी बताया गया कि आरोपी अपने रिहायशी मकान से ही नशीले पदार्थों की बिक्री कर रहा है। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी के रिहायशी मकान की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान अलमारी के अंदर से 10.11 ग्राम हेरोइन/चिट्टा बरामद किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त, नशीले पदार्थों की बिक्री से संबंधित 17,550 रुपए नकद तथा 92.09 ग्राम वजन के आभूषण भी पुलिस ने कब्जे में लिए। इस संबंध में पुलिस थाना सदर नाहन में आरोपी सोहन लाल के विरुद्ध एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

A team from the Nahan police station in Sirmaur district, during a patrol, took major action and arrested a man from Valmiki Basti, Nahan, on charges of selling heroin/chitta. During their patrol, the police received information that Sohan Lal, son of the late Amarnath, a resident of house number 293/13, Valmiki Basti, Nahan, had been involved in the sale of narcotics (heroin/chitta) for a considerable time and had previously been jailed for the same offense. The information also indicated that the accused was selling the drugs from his residence. Acting swiftly on this information, the police searched the accused’s house. During the search, 10.11 grams of heroin/chitta were recovered from inside a cupboard. In addition, Rs. 17,550 in cash and jewelry weighing 92.09 grams, believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics, were also seized by the police. A case has been registered against the accused, Sohan Lal, under the NDPS Act at the Nahan Sadar police station, and he has been arrested.
