सिरमौर जिले में नशे के खिलाफ सिरमौर पुलिस द्वारा चलाया जा रहा अभियान लगातार रंग ला रहा है। पिछले 48 घंटों के भीतर पुलिस ने तीन अलग-अलग स्थानों पर कार्रवाई करते हुए स्मैक और भारी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित नशीले कैप्सूल बरामद किए हैं। इन मामलों में कुल पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। एसपी सिरमौर एनएस नेगी ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि पांवटा साहिब उपमंडल में गठित विशेष पुलिस टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर पुरुवाला क्षेत्र में दबिश दी। इस दौरान पुलिस ने साहिल पुत्र निन्ना सलमानी निवासी टालापुर, मुजफ्फराबाद, सहारनपुर (उत्तर प्रदेश) तथा निरमल सिंह पुत्र जालम सिंह निवासी डान्डा, पांवटा साहिब को 2.31 ग्राम स्मैक के साथ रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार किया। इस संबंध में पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर आरोपियों को कोर्ट के नोटिस पर पाबंद किया गया है।

दूसरे मामले में जिला की एसआईयू टीम ने कालाअंब क्षेत्र में काली माता मंदिर के पीछे एक ऑल्टो कार (नंबर HR51AB-8735) की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान कार के डैशबोर्ड से 80 प्रतिबंधित नशीले कैप्सूल (10 स्ट्रिप्स) और 201 खुले कैप्सूल बरामद किए गए। इस मामले में तरुण कुमार पुत्र पाल सिंह निवासी मोगीनंद और नैतिक श्रीवास्तव पुत्र विपिन श्रीवास्तव, मूल निवासी बदायूं (उत्तर प्रदेश), हाल निवासी मोगीनंद को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।तीसरे मामले में एसआईयू टीम ने पांवटा साहिब के भुपपुर गांव स्थित तिब्बती कॉलोनी के पास से अय्युर खान पुत्र असरफ निवासी कुंजा ग्रांट, विकासनगर (देहरादून) को 7.80 ग्राम हेरोइन (चिट्टा) के साथ दबोचा। आरोपी के पास से हेरोइन डली और चूर्ण दोनों रूपों में बरामद हुई, जिस पर पुलिस ने उसे मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया। एसपी एनएस नेगी ने स्पष्ट किया कि जिले में नशे के खिलाफ जीरो टॉलरेंस नीति अपनाई जा रही है। पकड़े गए सभी आरोपियों से गहन पूछताछ की जा रही है, ताकि नशे के अवैध कारोबार से जुड़े मुख्य सप्लायरों और नेटवर्क तक पहुंचा जा सके।

The anti-drug campaign launched by the Sirmaur Police in Sirmaur district is yielding continuous results. Within the last 48 hours, the police have conducted raids at three different locations, recovering smack and a large quantity of banned narcotic capsules. A total of five accused have been arrested in these cases. Sirmaur Superintendent of Police, NS Negi, informed that a special police team formed in the Paonta Sahib sub-division, acting on a tip-off, raided the Puruwala area. During the raid, the police apprehended Sahil, son of Ninna Salmani, a resident of Talapur, Muzaffarabad, Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), and Nirmal Singh, son of Jalam Singh, a resident of Danda, Paonta Sahib, red-handed with 2.31 grams of smack. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at Puruwala Police Station, and they have been remanded to judicial custody.

In the second case, the district’s SIU team searched an Alto car (number HR51AB-8735) behind the Kali Mata temple in the Kala Amb area. During the search, 80 banned narcotic capsules (10 strips) and 201 loose capsules were recovered from the car’s dashboard. In this case, Tarun Kumar, son of Pal Singh, a resident of Moginand, and Naithik Srivastava, son of Vipin Srivastava, a native of Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) and currently residing in Moginand, were arrested. In the third case, the SIU team apprehended Ayyub Khan, son of Ashraf, a resident of Kunja Grant, Vikasnagar (Dehradun), near the Tibetan Colony in Bhupur village, Paonta Sahib, with 7.80 grams of heroin (chitta). The heroin was recovered from the accused in both lump and powder form, and the police arrested him on the spot. SP NS Negi clarified that a zero-tolerance policy is being adopted against drug trafficking in the district. All the arrested accused are being interrogated thoroughly to reach the main suppliers and networks involved in the illegal drug trade.
