उपमंडल पांवटा साहिब की स्पेशल डिटेक्शन टीम ने नशा के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। पकड़े गए आरोपी की पहचान साबर अली पुत्र दीन मोहम्मद, निवासी भगवानपुर, डाकघर पुरुवाला कांशीपुर, तहसील पांवटा साहिब के रूप में हुई है।एसपी सिरमौर एनएस नेगी ने बताया कि जब स्पेशल डिटेक्शन टीम बातापुल चौक के पास गश्त पर तैनात थी, तो पुख्ता गुप्त सूचना मिली कि आरोपी साबर अली के पास नशीले पदार्थों की खेप मौजूद है। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए घेराबंदी की और संदिग्ध की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने आरोपी के कब्जे से कुल 4.79 ग्राम हेरोइन (चिट्टा) बरामद की। पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब में आरोपी के विरुद्ध मादक द्रव्य पदार्थ अधिनियम (ND&PS Act) के तहत केस दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पुलिस अब इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि आरोपी यह नशा कहां से लेकर आया था और क्षेत्र में किन-किन लोगों को इसकी सप्लाई की जानी थी।

The Special Detection Team of Paonta Sahib sub-division has arrested a man in an anti-narcotics operation. The arrested accused has been identified as Sabar Ali, son of Din Mohammad, a resident of Bhagwanpur, Post Office Puruwala Kanshipur, Tehsil Paonta Sahib. SP Sirmaur NS Negi said that when the Special Detection Team was patrolling near Batapul Chowk, they received credible intelligence that the accused Sabar Ali was in possession of a consignment of narcotics. Acting swiftly on the information, the police cordoned off the area and searched the suspect. During the search, the police recovered a total of 4.79 grams of heroin (chitta) from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (ND&PS Act) at Paonta Sahib Police Station. The police are now investigating where the accused obtained the drugs from and to whom he intended to supply them in the area.
