हिमाचल प्रदेश के जिला सिरमौर में नशे के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे विशेष अभियान के तहत स्पेशल डिटेक्शन टीम (Sub Division Paonta Sahib) ने एक बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। पुलिस टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर कार्रवाई करते हुए विश्वकर्मा चौक के पास स्थित एमसी (MC) पार्किंग की बेसमेंट में छापेमारी की। इस दौरान पुलिस ने बेसमेंट के एक कमरे में दबिश देकर एक महिला और एक पुरुष को भारी मात्रा में स्मैक/हेरोइन का सेवन करते हुए रंगे हाथों पकड़ा। आरोपियों की पहचान रेखा (पत्नी साहिल) और अमन (पुत्र विजय कुमार) के रूप में हुई है, जो दोनों पांवटा साहिब की वाल्मीकि बस्ती (वार्ड नं. 7) के निवासी हैं।

तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने इनके कब्जे से कुल 6.56 ग्राम हेरोइन (चिट्टा) बरामद की। एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने मामले की पुस्टि करते हुए बताया कि दोनों आरोपियों को हिरासत में लेकर उनके खिलाफ मादक द्रव्य पदार्थ अधिनियम (ND&PS Act) के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। आरोपियों को आज माननीय न्यायालय के समक्ष पेश किया गया, जहां से उन्हें 30 दिसंबर 2025 तक पुलिस रिमांड पर भेज दिया गया है। फिलहाल, पुलिस इस मामले में यह पता लगाने का प्रयास कर रही है कि आरोपी यह नशा कहां से लाए थे और उनके साथ इस काले कारोबार में और कौन-कौन शामिल है।
