सिखों के दसवें गुरु, गुरु गोबिन्द सिंह जी का 359वां प्रकटोत्सव गुरु की नगरी पाँवटा साहिब में पूरे श्रद्धा व भव्यता के साथ मनाया जाएगा। यह तीन दिवसीय धार्मिक आयोजन गुरुवार 25 दिसंबर से शनिवार 27 दिसंबर तक चलेगा, जिसमें देशभर से हजारों श्रद्धालुओं के पाँवटा साहिब पहुँचने की उम्मीद है। गुरुद्वारा श्री पाँवटा साहिब की प्रबंधक कमेटी के मैनेजर सरदार जगीर सिंह और उप प्रबंधक गुरमीत सिंह ने बताया कि गुरुवार 25 दिसंबर को कार्यक्रमों की शुरुआत अखंड पाठ के साथ होगी। इसी दिन दोपहर 1 बजे पंज प्यारों की अगुवाई में भव्य नगर कीर्तन निकाला जाएगा। नगर कीर्तन में स्कूली बच्चे बैंड के साथ भाग लेंगे, वहीं गतका पार्टी द्वारा शौर्य प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। सुन्दर पालकी में गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब जी को विराजमान किया जाएगा। नगर कीर्तन गुरुद्वारा साहिब से बद्रीपुर तक जाएगा और पुनः गुरुद्वारा साहिब लौटेगा। शुक्रवार 26 दिसंबर को गुरुद्वारा साहिब में निशान साहब झुलाए जाएंगे, साथ ही अमृत संचार और अखंड पाठ का आयोजन होगा। इस दिन विशेष दीवान सजेगा, जिसमें स्कूलों के बच्चे, बाहर से आए रागी व ढाढ़ी जत्थे तथा स्थानीय रागी जत्थे कीर्तन द्वारा संगत को निहाल करेंगे।

शनिवार 27 दिसंबर, जो कि गुरु गोबिन्द सिंह जी का वास्तविक प्रकटोत्सव दिवस है, इस दिन कार्यक्रमों की विशेष धूम रहेगी। दिनभर विशेष दीवान, अमृत संचार और कीर्तन कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। रात 9 बजे से 12 बजे तक भव्य कवि दरबार सजेगा, जिसमें देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से आए कवि गुरु गोबिन्द सिंह जी के जीवन, बलिदान और शौर्य से संबंधित रचनाएं प्रस्तुत करेंगे। गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी ने बताया कि यह आयोजन कई दशकों से प्रतिवर्ष भव्य रूप से मनाया जाता आ रहा है। गुरु पर्व के अवसर पर पंजाब सहित उत्तर भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों से बड़ी संख्या में संगत पाँवटा साहिब पहुँच रही है। संगत गुरुद्वारा श्री पाँवटा साहिब में माथा टेकने के उपरांत गुरुद्वारा श्री कपाल मोचन, बिलासपुर (हरियाणा) में भी शीश नवाने जा रही है।

The 359th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, will be celebrated with great devotion and grandeur in Paonta Sahib. This three-day religious event will run from Thursday, December 25th, to Saturday, December 27th, and thousands of devotees from across the country are expected to arrive in Paonta Sahib. Manager Sardar Jagir Singh and Deputy Manager Gurmeet Singh of the Managing Committee of Gurudwara Shri Paonta Sahib stated that the programs will begin on Thursday, December 25th, with an Akhand Path. A grand Nagar Kirtan will be held at 1 pm on the same day, led by the Panj Pyaras. School children will participate in the Nagar Kirtan accompanied by a band, and a Gatka party will display bravery. The Guru Granth Sahib will be placed in a beautiful palanquin. The Nagar Kirtan will proceed from Gurdwara Sahib to Badripur and return to Gurdwara Sahib. On Friday, December 26th, the Nishan Sahib will be hoisted at Gurdwara Sahib, along with Amrit Sanchar and Akhand Path. A special Diwan will be held on this day, in which school children, Ragi and Dhaadi groups from outside, and local Ragi groups will delight the Sangat with Kirtan.

Saturday, December 27th, the actual birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, will be a special event. Special Diwan, Amrit Sanchar, and Kirtan programs will be held throughout the day. A grand Kavi Darbar will be held from 9 pm to 12 pm, in which poets from various parts of the country will present compositions related to the life, sacrifice, and bravery of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Gurdwara Management Committee stated that this grand event has been celebrated annually for several decades. A large number of Sangat from various states of North India, including Punjab, arrive at Paonta Sahib on the occasion of Guru Parv. After paying obeisance at Gurdwara Shri Paonta Sahib, the Sangat is also going to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Shri Kapal Mochan, Bilaspur (Haryana).
