उपायुक्त सिरमौर प्रियंका वर्मा की अध्यक्षता में आज उपायुक्त कार्यालय सभागार में पल्स पोलियो प्रतिरक्षण कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने के लिए जिला स्तरीय कार्य बल की बैठक आयोजित हुई। उपायुक्त ने बताया कि पल्स पोलियो अभियान के तहत 21 दिसंबर, 2025 को जिला सिरमौर में 0 से 5 वर्ष आयु वर्ग के लगभग 56,531 बच्चों को पोलियो की खुराक पिलाई जाएगी। इस अभियान के सफल संचालन के लिए जिला भर में 534 पोलियो बूथ स्थापित किए जाएंगे, तथा 1776 बूथ टीमों के अतिरिक्त 04 मोबाईल टीम भी क्रियाशील रहेंगी। उन्होंने बताया कि जो बच्चे 21 दिसंबर को पोलियो की खुराक लेने से वंचित रह जाएंगे, उन्हें 22 और 23 दिसंबर को घर-घर जाकर पोलियो की दवा पिलाई जाएगी, ताकि शत-प्रतिशत कवरेज सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।

उपायुक्त प्रियंका वर्मा ने जिला वासियों से अपील की है कि वे इस सघन पल्स पोलियो अभियान को जन आंदोलन के रूप में लें और 0 से 5 वर्ष आयु के प्रत्येक बच्चे को अनिवार्य रूप से पोलियो की खुराक पिलवाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि एक भी बच्चा छूटना नहीं चाहिए, तभी शत-प्रतिशत लक्ष्य हासिल किया जा सकता है।उन्होंने शिक्षा विभाग को निर्देशित किया कि पल्स पोलियो अभियान बारे स्कूलों में प्रार्थना सभा के दौरान जानकारी प्रदान की जाए ताकि बच्चों के माध्यम से व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार हो सके। उन्होंने उद्योग विभाग को जिला के उद्योगों में कार्य कर रहे मजदूरों के 5 साल तक के बच्चों को पल्स पोलियो की खुराक पिलाने के लिए जागरूक करने के लिए कहा ताकि किसी भी प्रवासी व कामगार का शिशु भी पल्स पोलियो की खुराक से वंचित न रह सके।

उन्होंने पंचायतों तथा आंगनवाडी केंद्रों के माध्यम से संबंधित विभागों को व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार करने के भी निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग को आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता व सहायिकाओं की सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करते हुए बच्चों को पोलियो बूथ तक लाने में सहयोग करने को कहा।उपायुक्त ने स्वास्थ्य विभाग को प्रवासी आबादी, झुग्गी-झोपड़ी क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले बच्चों तथा दूर-दराज क्षेत्रों पर विशेष ध्यान देने के निर्देश दिए। उपायुक्त ने एचआरटीसी को निर्देश दिए कि 21 दिसंबर को यदि किसी बस में 0 से 5 वर्ष आयु का बच्चा यात्रा कर रहा हो, तो सड़क किनारे स्थापित पोलियो बूथ पर बस रोककर उसे पोलियो की खुराक पिलाना सुनिश्चित किया जाए। बैठक में सहायक आयुक्त विकास एवं खंड विकास अधिकारी नाहन डॉ. अंजली गर्ग, जिला आयुष अधिकारी डॉ. इंदु शर्मा, स्वास्थ्य अधीक्षक मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन डॉ. रीनू चौहान, महाप्रबंधक उद्योग रचित शर्मा, जिला पंचायत अधिकारी डॉ. विनय कुमार, अध्यक्ष रोटरी क्लब नाहन मनीष जैन सहित विभिन्न स्वास्थ्य खंडों के चिकित्सा अधिकारी व अन्य विभागीय अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।

A district-level task force meeting was held today in the Deputy Commissioner’s office auditorium, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sirmour, Priyanka Verma, to ensure the success of the Pulse Polio Immunization Program. The Deputy Commissioner informed that under the Pulse Polio campaign, approximately 56,531 children in the 0-5 age group in Sirmour district will be administered polio drops on December 21, 2025. To ensure the successful implementation of this campaign, 534 polio booths will be set up across the district, and in addition to 1776 booth teams, four mobile teams will also be operational. She further stated that children who miss receiving the polio drops on December 21 will be given the drops through a door-to-door campaign on December 22 and 23 to ensure 100% coverage.

Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma has appealed to the district residents to treat this intensive pulse polio campaign as a mass movement and ensure that every child aged 0 to 5 years receives the polio vaccine. She emphasized that not a single child should be missed, as only then can the 100% target be achieved. She directed the Education Department to provide information about the pulse polio campaign during school assembly prayers so that the message can be widely disseminated through the children. She also instructed the Industries Department to raise awareness among the workers in the district’s industries about administering the pulse polio vaccine to their children under 5 years of age, so that no child of any migrant or laborer is deprived of the polio vaccine.

He also instructed the concerned departments to conduct extensive awareness campaigns through panchayats and Anganwadi centers. He directed the Women and Child Development Department to ensure the active participation of Anganwadi workers and helpers in bringing children to the polio booths. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Health Department to pay special attention to the migrant population, children living in slum areas, and those in remote areas. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) that if a child aged 0 to 5 years is traveling on any bus on December 21st, the bus should be stopped at the roadside polio booth to ensure the child receives the polio vaccine. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development and Block Development Officer Nahan Dr. Anjali Garg, District Ayush Officer Dr. Indu Sharma, Medical Superintendent Medical College Nahan Dr. Reenu Chauhan, General Manager Industries Rachit Sharma, District Panchayat Officer Dr. Vinay Kumar, President Rotary Club Nahan Manish Jain, along with medical officers from various health blocks and other departmental officers.
