चांदनी में 13 दिसंबर को 6वीं स्वर्गीय संजय ठाकुर मेमोरियल ग्रामीण स्तरीय क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता का भव्य आयोजन किया गया। इस प्रतिष्ठित प्रतियोगिता में क्षेत्र की लगभग 128 टीमों ने भाग लेकर खेल प्रेमियों में उत्साह भर दिया। प्रतियोगिता के विजेता को 2 लाख रुपये तथा उपविजेता को 1 लाख रुपये का आकर्षक पुरस्कार निर्धारित किया गया है। प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ समाजसेवी एवं युवा कांग्रेस नेता मनीष तोमर द्वारा किया गया। आयोजन स्थल पर पहुंचने पर SNM क्लब के सदस्यों ने फूल-मालाओं के साथ उनका भव्य स्वागत किया। इस अवसर पर मनीष तोमर ने क्लब को अनुशासित आयोजन के लिए बधाई देते हुए कहा कि खेल युवाओं के सर्वांगीण विकास का सबसे सशक्त माध्यम है।
उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि खेल केवल जीत-हार का नाम नहीं, बल्कि अनुशासन, टीमवर्क और खेल भावना सिखाने का मंच है। उन्होंने युवाओं से आह्वान किया कि वे नशे जैसी बुरी आदतों से दूर रहकर खेलों को अपनाएं क्योंकि खेल ही वह सकारात्मक रास्ता है जो युवाओं को स्वस्थ, ऊर्जावान और जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनाता है। मनीष तोमर ने कहा कि ग्रामीण स्तर पर ऐसे आयोजन प्रतिभाओं को निखारने के साथ-साथ समाज को सकारात्मक दिशा देने में अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं। कार्यक्रम के दौरान बड़ी संख्या में खेल प्रेमी, ग्रामीण और युवा मौजूद रहे। आयोजन ने न केवल खेल संस्कृति को मजबूती दी, बल्कि युवाओं में नशामुक्ति और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली का संदेश भी प्रभावी रूप से पहुंचाया।

A grand celebration of the 6th Late Sanjay Thakur Memorial Rural Level Cricket Tournament was held in Chandni on December 13th. Approximately 128 teams from the region participated in this prestigious tournament, generating immense enthusiasm among cricket lovers. An attractive prize of Rs. 2 lakh was announced for the winning team and Rs. 1 lakh for the runner-up. The tournament was inaugurated by social worker and Youth Congress leader Manish Tomar. Upon his arrival at the venue, he was given a grand welcome with garlands and flowers by the members of the SNM Club. On this occasion, Manish Tomar congratulated the club for organizing the event in a disciplined manner and said that sports are the most powerful medium for the all-round development of youth.
Addressing the players, he said that sports are not just about winning or losing, but a platform for teaching discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. He urged the youth to stay away from bad habits like drug abuse and embrace sports, as sports provide a positive path that makes young people healthy, energetic, and responsible citizens. Manish Tomar said that such events at the rural level play a crucial role in nurturing talent and guiding society in a positive direction. A large number of sports enthusiasts, villagers, and young people were present during the event. The event not only strengthened the sports culture but also effectively conveyed the message of drug-free living and a healthy lifestyle to the youth.
