डीएसपी पांवटा मानवेंद्र ठाकुर के नेतृत्व में नशे के खिलाफ चलाई जा रही कार्रवाई में पांवटा साहिब पुलिस ने दो अलग-अलग मामलों में चिट्टा और नशीली गोलियों सहित दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। दोनों मामलों में एनडी एंड पीएस एक्ट के तहत मुकदमे दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। पहले मामले में, पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान मिली गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर शिवा कॉलोनी, तारुवाला में दबिश दी। तलाशी के दौरान मुस्तकीम पुत्र बुन्दू खान, निवासी भगवानपुर, डा. पुरुवाला के कब्जे से 100 नशीली गोलियां बरामद की गईं। आरोपी को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। वहीं दूसरी कार्रवाई में, पुलिस थाना पांवटा की एक अन्य टीम ने मलखान शाह पुत्र जम्बील शाह, निवासी गांव जगतपुर, डा. माजरा को पकड़ा। जांच में उसके पास से 4.56 ग्राम चिट्टा बरामद हुआ, जिसके बाद उसे तुरंत हिरासत में ले लिया गया। दोनों मामलों की पुष्टि करते हुए डीएसपी पांवटा मानवेंद्र ठाकुर ने कहा कि क्षेत्र में नशे के खिलाफ अभियान लगातार जारी है और पुलिस नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई जारी रखेगी।

Under the leadership of DSP Paonta, Manvendra Thakur, the Paonta Sahib police, in an ongoing operation against drugs, arrested two accused in two separate cases, seizing heroin (chitta) and narcotic pills. Cases have been registered under the NDPS Act in both instances, and investigations have begun. In the first case, a team from Paonta Sahib police station, acting on a tip-off received during a patrol, raided Shiva Colony, Taruwala. During the search, 100 narcotic pills were recovered from the possession of Mustakim, son of Bundu Khan, a resident of Bhagwanpur, Post Office Puruwala. The accused was arrested on the spot. In the second operation, another team from Paonta police station apprehended Malkhan Shah, son of Jambil Shah, a resident of Jagatpur village, Post Office Majra. A search revealed 4.56 grams of heroin (chitta) in his possession, after which he was immediately taken into custody. Confirming both cases, DSP Paonta, Manvendra Thakur, stated that the campaign against drugs in the area is continuing and the police will continue to take strict action against drug traffickers.
