शिलाई महाविद्यालय में विश्व एड्स दिवस के अवसर पर रेड रिबन क्लब द्वारा एक भव्य जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत आयुष, पियूष और उनकी टीम द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रभावशाली जागरूकता स्किट से हुई, जिसमें एड्स से जुड़े मिथकों को दूर करते हुए वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों को सरल भाषा में समझाया गया। छात्रों द्वारा प्रस्तुत यह नाटिका दर्शकों के बीच खास आकर्षण का केंद्र बनी। इसके बाद क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साह से भाग लिया। कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा में शीतल की टीम ने प्रथम स्थान हासिल किया। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण रहा“साइंस ऑफ़ एड्स” विषय पर सहायक आचार्या सुजाता खमन द्वारा दी गई पावरपॉइंट प्रस्तुति। उन्होंने एचआईवी/एड्स के संक्रमण, इसके रोकथाम के उपाय तथा वैज्ञानिक पहलुओं पर विस्तृत जानकारी दी।

इस अवसर पर प्रो. अजय, प्रो. रंजना, प्रो. रीना, प्रो. आत्मा राम और प्रो. विद्या भी उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि प्राचार्य डॉ. जे. आर. कश्यप ने अपने उद्बोधन में कहा कि एचआईवी/एड्स से अधिक खतरनाक इससे जुड़ी सामाजिक भ्रांतियाँ हैं, जिन्हें दूर करना प्रत्येक नागरिक की जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होंने छात्रों को जागरूकता को समाज तक पहुँचाने का संदेश दिया। सह-आयोजित प्रतियोगिताओं में पोस्टर निर्माण में दिव्याक्षी प्रथम रही जबकि स्लोगन लेखन प्रतियोगिता में अनामिका ने पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया। मंच का संचालन रेड रिबन क्लब की कन्वीनर प्रो. सुजाता खमन ने किया। अंत में प्रो. रंजना ने सभी अतिथियों, फैकल्टी सदस्यों, प्रतिभागी विद्यार्थियों और आयोजन टीम का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कार्यक्रम का सफल समापन किया।

A grand awareness program was organized by the Red Ribbon Club at Shilai College on the occasion of World AIDS Day. The program began with an impactful awareness skit presented by Ayush, Piyush, and their team, which dispelled myths surrounding AIDS and explained scientific facts in simple language. This skit, performed by the students, was a major highlight of the event. Following the skit, a quiz competition was held, in which students participated enthusiastically. In a closely contested competition, Sheetal’s team secured the first position. The main attraction of the program was a PowerPoint presentation on the topic “Science of AIDS” given by Assistant Professor Sujata Khaman. She provided detailed information on HIV/AIDS infection, its prevention methods, and scientific aspects.

On this occasion, Prof. Ajay, Prof. Ranjana, Prof. Reena, Prof. Atma Ram, and Prof. Vidya were also present. The chief guest of the program, Principal Dr. J. R. Kashyap, said in his address that the social misconceptions associated with HIV/AIDS are more dangerous than the disease itself, and it is the responsibility of every citizen to dispel them. He urged the students to spread awareness in society. In the competitions held as part of the event, Divyakshi secured first place in poster making, while Anamika won first prize in the slogan writing competition. The program was conducted by Prof. Sujata Khaman, Convener of the Red Ribbon Club. Finally, Prof. Ranjana thanked all the guests, faculty members, participating students, and the organizing team, bringing the program to a successful conclusion.
