सिरमौर पुलिस द्वारा नशा माफिया के खात्मे के लिए गठित डिटेक्शन टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर एक बड़ी सफलता हासिल करते हुए एक दंपत्ति को स्मैक/हेरोइन की खेप सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। टीम 29 नवंबर को कोलर, धौलाकुआं और माजरा क्षेत्र में गश्त व गुप्त सूचनाएँ एकत्र कर रही थी, तभी सूचना मिली कि भगवानपुर निवासी फिरोज खान और उसकी पत्नी रजीया यमुनानगर से भारी मात्रा में स्मैक खरीदकर घर में बेच रहे हैं। पुलिस टीम ने दबिश देकर फिरोज खान (33) व उसकी पत्नी रजीया के कब्जे से 15.50 ग्राम स्मैक/हेरोइन बरामद की। दोनों को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर पुलिस थाना माजरा में ND&PS Act के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया। आज दिनांक 30 नवंबर को दोनों आरोपियों को अदालत में पेश किया गया, जहाँ से पुलिस को तीन दिन का रिमांड प्राप्त हुआ है। पुलिस ने बताया कि मामले की आगामी जांच जारी है।

The detection team formed by Sirmaur Police to eradicate drug trafficking has achieved a major success, arresting a couple with a consignment of smack/heroin based on a tip-off. On November 29, the team was patrolling and gathering intelligence in the Kolar, Dhaulakuan, and Majra areas when they received information that Firoz Khan and his wife Raziya, residents of Bhagwanpur, were buying large quantities of smack from Yamunanagar and selling it from their home. The police team raided their house and recovered 15.50 grams of smack/heroin from Firoz Khan (33) and his wife Raziya. Both were arrested on the spot, and a case was registered against them under the NDPS Act at Majra Police Station. Today, November 30, both accused were produced in court, from where the police obtained a three-day remand. Police stated that further investigation into the case is underway.
