शहीद सोहन सिंह मेमोरियल राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय मानपुर देवड़ा में राज्य, जिला एवं ब्लॉक स्तर पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले विजेता खिलाड़ियों के सम्मान में प्रीतिभोज का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय का समस्त स्टाफ, एसएमसी सदस्य, पंचायत प्रतिनिधि एवं प्रधान विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम के दौरान विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य अनिल कुमार नागवाल ने शैक्षणिक सत्र 2025–26 में विभिन्न खेलकूद एवं सांस्कृतिक प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने वाले छात्र-छात्राओं का अभिनंदन किया और उन्हें अपना आशीर्वाद प्रदान किया। विद्यालय के शारीरिक शिक्षा प्रवक्ता मनीष टंडन ने बताया कि इस वर्ष विद्यालय के 46 छात्रों ने राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेकर विद्यालय का नाम रोशन किया।

अंडर-14 वर्ग के छात्रों की हॉकी टीम ने जिला स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान हासिल किया। इसके बाद विक्की, कार्तिक, कृष्णा, सुनील, शिवम, अब्दुल कादिर, योगेश्वर और विवेक का चयन राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता के लिए हुआ, जहाँ छात्रों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए राज्य स्तर पर तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। अंडर-14 वर्ग की छात्राओं ने भी जिला स्तरीय हॉकी प्रतियोगिता में पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया। दिव्यांशी, अंकिता, कविता, वैशाली, आशु, कृतिका, काजल, महक और शिवानी का चयन राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता के लिए हुआ, जहाँ इन्होंने बेहतरीन खेल का प्रदर्शन कर हिमाचल प्रदेश में प्रथम स्थान हासिल किया। अंडर-19 वर्ग की हॉकी एवं फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिताओं में विद्यालय की 18 छात्राओं ने भाग लिया और दोनों खेलों में द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।

शानदार प्रदर्शन को देखते हुए 13 छात्राओं—आंचल, सिमरन, वंदना, कनिष्का, अंजली, चंद्रकांता, संगीता, नेहा, ईशा, कल्पना और विशाखा—का चयन राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए हुआ। राज्य स्तर पर भी छात्राओं ने लाजवाब प्रदर्शन किया और हॉकी में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि फुटबॉल में भी उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन जारी रखा। सिर्फ खेल ही नहीं, बल्कि सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों में भी विद्यालय की छात्राओं ने जिले का नाम रोशन किया। सिरमौरी नाटी में जिला स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त कर विद्यालय की लोक नृत्य टीम ने राज्य स्तर पर जिला सिरमौर का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। विद्यालय प्रशासन ने आशा व्यक्त की कि इस वर्ष कम से कम 8 खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए चयनित होंगे। मानपुर देवड़ा पंचायत के पूर्व प्रधान एवं पूर्व एसएमसी अध्यक्ष कृष्ण कुमार सहित एसएमसी अध्यक्ष विक्रम तोमर, सदस्य हरविंदर सैनी, मिलख राज, राजेंद्र, रामकुमार आदि ने खिलाड़ियों को शुभकामनाएं व आशीर्वाद दिया। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय का समस्त स्टाफ भी उपस्थित रहा।

A felicitation ceremony and feast were organized at Shaheed Sohan Singh Memorial Government Senior Secondary School, Manpur Devda, to honor the winning players who performed exceptionally well at the state, district, and block levels. The entire school staff, SMC members, panchayat representatives, and the village head were present on this occasion. During the program, the school principal, Anil Kumar Nagwal, congratulated the students who participated in various sports and cultural competitions during the 2025-26 academic session and offered them his blessings. The school’s physical education instructor, Manish Tandon, informed that 46 students from the school participated in state-level competitions this year, bringing glory to the school.

The school’s Under-14 boys’ hockey team secured first place in the district-level competition. Following this success, Vicky, Kartik, Krishna, Sunil, Shivam, Abdul Qadir, Yogeshwar, and Vivek were selected for the state-level competition, where they performed exceptionally well, securing third place at the state level. The Under-14 girls’ hockey team also won first place in the district-level competition. Divyanshi, Ankita, Kavita, Vaishali, Ashu, Kritika, Kajal, Mehak, and Shivani were selected for the state-level competition, where they displayed outstanding skills and secured first place in Himachal Pradesh. Eighteen girls from the school participated in the Under-19 hockey and football competitions, securing second place in both sports.

Based on their outstanding performance, 13 students—Anchal, Simran, Vandana, Kanishka, Anjali, Chandrakanta, Sangeeta, Neha, Isha, Kalpana, and Vishakha—were selected for the state-level competitions. The students also performed exceptionally well at the state level, securing first place in hockey and continuing their excellent performance in football. Not only in sports, but also in cultural activities, the school’s students brought laurels to the district. The school’s folk dance team secured first place in the district-level competition in Sirmauri Nati and represented Sirmaur district at the state level. The school administration expressed hope that at least eight players would be selected for national-level competitions this year. Former head of Manpur Deora Panchayat and former SMC chairman, Krishna Kumar, along with SMC chairman Vikram Tomar, and members Harvinder Saini, Milkh Raj, Rajendra, Ramkumar, and others, extended their best wishes and blessings to the players. The entire school staff was also present on this occasion.
