सिरमौर जिले के पुलिस थाना पच्छाद को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि वासनी बाजार में रविदत्त, तहसील पच्छाद, सिरमौर अपनी चाय/पानी की दुकान के माध्यम से अवैध शराब का कारोबार कर रहा है। सूचना मिलने के तुरंत बाद पुलिस टीम वासनी बाजार पहुंची और रविदत्त की दुकान की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस को दुकान के साथ बने अलग लैट्रिंग में रखे नीले रंग के ड्रम में दो-दो लीटर की दो बोतलें, कुल 4 लीटर शराब बरामद हुई। पुलिस ने बताया कि बरामद शराब अवैध थी और आरोपी रविदत्त के खिलाफ हिमाचल प्रदेश आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने यह भी बताया कि इस प्रकार की गुप्त सूचनाओं पर त्वरित कार्रवाई से स्थानीय स्तर पर अवैध शराब के कारोबार पर नियंत्रण रखा जा रहा है। स्थानीय प्रशासन ने जनता से अपील की है कि इस तरह की अवैध गतिविधियों की जानकारी तुरंत पुलिस को दें, ताकि ऐसे काले कारोबार पर कड़ी कार्रवाई की जा सके।

The Pachhad police station in Sirmaur district received a tip-off that Rav Dutt, a resident of Wasni Bazaar, Pachhad tehsil, Sirmaur, was illegally selling liquor through his tea/water stall. Acting on the information, a police team immediately reached Wasni Bazaar and searched Rav Dutt’s shop. During the search, the police recovered two two-liter bottles, totaling 4 liters of liquor, from a blue drum kept in a separate toilet attached to the shop. The police stated that the recovered liquor was illegal and a case has been registered against the accused, Rav Dutt, under the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. Police officials also stated that prompt action on such tip-offs is helping to control the illegal liquor trade at the local level. The local administration has appealed to the public to immediately inform the police about such illegal activities so that strict action can be taken against those involved in this illicit business.
