उपायुक्त सिरमौर प्रियंका वर्मा ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि जिला सिरमौर में प्रधानमंत्री उज्जवला योजना के अंतर्गत गैस कनेक्शन से वंचित गरीब परिवारों की पात्र व्यस्क महिला सदस्यों को निशुल्क एलपीजी कनेक्शन प्रदान किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि जिला की गरीब परिवारों की व्यस्क महिला सदस्य इस योजना के अन्तर्गत वंचना घोषणा पत्र प्रस्तुत कर आवेदन कर सकती है, पात्र लाभार्थियों को 2,050 मूल्य का निशुल्क एलपीजी कनेक्शन प्रदान किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया है कि प्रधानमंत्री उज्जवला योजना के अन्तर्गत अब गृह निरीक्षण अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है, ताकि सही पात्र लाभार्थियों को वास्तविक रूप से गैस कनेक्शन उपलब्ध हो सके।

उन्होंने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री उज्जवला योजना के तहत वही परिवार पात्र होंगे जिनके परिवार के किसी भी सदस्य के नाम पर पहले से एलपीजी कनेक्शन दर्ज न हो। परिवार की संरचना की पुष्टि राशन कार्ड इत्यादि दस्तावेजों के आधार पर की जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि ऐसे परिवार जिनके परिवार का कोई सदस्य 10 हजार रूपये प्रति माह से अधिक आय वाला हो, परिवार द्वारा प्रोफेशनल टैक्स या आयकर का भुगतान किया जा रहा हो, परिवार का कोई सदस्य सरकारी कर्मचारी हो, परिवार के नाम गैर कृषि उद्यम सरकारी पंजीकृत हो।

जिन परिवारों का किसान केडिट कार्ड 75 हजार रूपये से अधिक सीमा वाला हो या जिनके पास 2.5 एकड़ से अधिक सिंचित भूमि एवं सिंचाई उपकरण हो, दो फसल सीजन हेतु 5 एकड या अधिक सिंचित भूमि हो, 7.5 एकड या अधिक भूमि के साथ एक सिंचाई उपकरण हो, 30 वर्ग मीटर से अधिक क्षेत्रफल का निजी मकान (सरकारी योजना से अलग) हो, मोटर चालित 3/4 पहिया वाहन या माछली पकड़ने वाली नाव हो, यांत्रिक कृषि उपकरण (3/4 पहिया) स्वामित्व में हो या पहले से एलपीजी कनैक्शन उपलब्ध हो ऐसे किसी भी परिवार को निःशुल्क एलपीजी कनैक्शन के लिए अयोग्य माना जाएगा।

Deputy Commissioner Sirmour, Priyanka Verma, informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, eligible adult women members of poor families in Sirmour district who are currently without a gas connection will be provided with a free LPG connection. She stated that adult women members of poor families in the district can apply under this scheme by submitting a declaration of deprivation. Eligible beneficiaries will receive a free LPG connection worth ₹2,050. She further added that home inspections have now been made mandatory under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to ensure that gas connections are provided only to genuinely eligible beneficiaries.

He explained that only those families would be eligible under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana whose family members do not already have an LPG connection registered in their name. The family structure will be verified based on documents such as ration cards. He further stated that families where any member earns more than ₹10,000 per month, where the family pays professional tax or income tax, where any family member is a government employee, or where the family owns a government-registered non-agricultural enterprise will not be eligible.

Families with a Kisan Credit Card limit exceeding Rs. 75,000, or those owning more than 2.5 acres of irrigated land and irrigation equipment, or 5 acres or more of irrigated land for two crop seasons, or 7.5 acres or more of land with irrigation equipment, or a private house (excluding those under government schemes) with an area exceeding 30 square meters, or a motorized 3/4 wheeler vehicle or fishing boat, or owning mechanized agricultural equipment (3/4 wheeler), or already having an LPG connection, will be considered ineligible for a free LPG connection.
