राजकीय महाविद्यालय शिलाई में प्रहरी क्लब, एंटी टोबैको एंड ड्रग डी-एडिक्शन क्लब तथा राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना ने करियर काउंसलिंग एंड प्लेसमेंट सेल और रोवर-रेंजर्स के सहयोग से ड्रग एब्यूज जागरूकता विषय पर पोस्टर मेकिंग और स्लोगन राइटिंग प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. जे.आर. कश्यप ने की। ‘नशे को ना कहें’ विषय पर आधारित पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता में बीए प्रथम वर्ष के छात्र अनुराग ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। एमए प्रथम वर्ष की छात्रा निर्जला और बीए द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा साक्षी ने संयुक्त रूप से द्वितीय स्थान हासिल किया।

वहीं एमए द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा सुमन तथा बीए प्रथम वर्ष के छात्र यश ठाकुर संयुक्त रूप से तृतीय स्थान पर रहे। स्लोगन राइटिंग प्रतियोगिता में एमए प्रथम वर्ष की छात्रा निर्जला ने प्रथम और एमए द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा नितिका ने द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।आयोजन का उद्देश्य युवाओं को नशे के दुष्प्रभावों से दूर रखना तथा उन्हें स्वस्थ जीवनशैली के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना रहा। कार्यक्रम में एंटी टोबैको एंड ड्रग डी-एडिक्शन क्लब के संयोजक प्रो. अनिल कुमार, रोवर–रेंजर्स के समन्वयक प्रो. अजय सिंह, राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना की प्रोग्राम ऑफिसर रंजना चौहान, प्रहरी क्लब सदस्य तथा प्रोग्राम ऑफिसर यशपाल शर्मा उपस्थित रहे।

At Government College Shillai, the Sentinel Club, Anti-Tobacco and Drug De-addiction Club, and National Service Scheme, in collaboration with the Career Counseling and Placement Cell and Rover-Rangers, organized poster making and slogan writing competitions on the theme of drug abuse awareness. The program was presided over by the college principal, Dr. J.R. Kashyap. In the poster making competition based on the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’, Anurag, a first-year BA student, secured the first position. Nirjala, a first-year MA student, and Sakshi, a second-year BA student, jointly secured the second position.

Meanwhile, Suman, a second-year MA student, and Yash Thakur, a first-year BA student, jointly secured the third position. In the slogan writing competition, Nirjala, a first-year MA student, won first prize, and Nitika, a second-year MA student, secured second place. The objective of the event was to keep young people away from the harmful effects of drugs and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Present at the event were Professor Anil Kumar, convener of the Anti-Tobacco and Drug De-addiction Club, Professor Ajay Singh, coordinator of the Rover-Rangers, Ranjana Chauhan, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme, and Yashpal Sharma, member of the Prahar Club and Program Officer.
