पांवटा साहिब पुलिस उपमंडल के तहत माजरा थाना क्षेत्र में सोमवार देर रात एक युवक का शव संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मिलने से सनसनी फैल गई। जानकारी के अनुसार रात करीब डेढ़ बजे पुलिस थाना माजरा को 112 हेल्पलाइन के माध्यम से सूचना मिली कि जगतपुर नहर के पास हादसा हुआ है।पुलिस टीम तुरंत मौके पर पहुंची, जहां नहर किनारे एक हीरो स्प्लेंडर मोटरसाइकिल पुलिया के पास गिरी मिली। मोटरसाइकिल से कुछ दूरी पर नहर में एक युवक मुंह के बल पानी में डूबा पाया गया, जिसकी पीठ पर पिट्ठू बैग भी लगा था।

सूचना पर मिश्रवाला पंचायत के प्रधान पति फरीज खान तथा पूर्व प्रधान सुकरदीन मौके पर पहुंचे और उन्होंने मृतक की पहचान मोमिन पुत्र समरेज, निवासी मिश्रवाला, तहसील पांवटा साहिब के रूप में की।मोमिन को तुरंत एम्बुलेंस के माध्यम से सिविल अस्पताल पांवटा पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। मृतक की दाईं आंख के पास चोट के निशान पाए गए हैं। डीएसपी पांवटा साहिब मानवेंद्र ठाकुर ने बताया कि शव को फॉरेंसिक जांच हेतु नाहन भेज दिया गया है। मौत के कारणों की पुष्टि पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही हो पाएगी। पुलिस मामले की गहराई से जांच कर रही है।

A young man’s body was found under suspicious circumstances late Monday night in the Majra police station area under the Paonta Sahib police subdivision, causing a sensation. According to reports, at around 1:30 AM, the Majra police station received information via the 112 helpline that an accident had occurred near the Jagatpur canal. A police team immediately reached the spot, where they found a Hero Splendor motorcycle lying near a culvert by the canal. A short distance away from the motorcycle, a young man was found face down in the canal, with a backpack on his back.

Upon receiving the information, the husband of the head of Mishrawala Panchayat, Farij Khan, and former head Sukardeen, arrived at the scene and identified the deceased as Momin, son of Samrej, a resident of Mishrawala, Paonta Sahib tehsil. Momin was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Paonta Sahib by ambulance, where doctors declared him dead. Injury marks were found near the deceased’s right eye. DSP Paonta Sahib, Manvendra Thakur, stated that the body has been sent to Nahan for forensic examination. The cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
