अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद (ABVP) पांवटा इकाई द्वारा सोमवार को महाविद्यालय परिसर में 11 सूत्रीय मांगों को लेकर शांतिपूर्ण मूक प्रदर्शन किया गया। कार्यकर्ताओं ने मुंह पर काली पट्टी बांधकर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा छात्रहितों की अनदेखी और शिक्षा व्यवस्था से जुड़े गंभीर मुद्दों पर संवेदनहीनता का विरोध जताया। इकाई अध्यक्ष मनीष समटा ने कहा कि परिषद लंबे समय से छात्र हितों से जुड़े मुद्दे उठा रही है, लेकिन सरकार ध्यान नहीं दे रही। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि यदि जल्द समाधान नहीं हुआ तो पूरे प्रदेश में बड़े स्तर का आंदोलन शुरू किया जाएगा। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 को पूर्ण रूप से लागू करने में हो रही देरी पर भी कड़ा विरोध जताया। इकाई मंत्री अनिकेत भंडारी ने कहा कि व्यवस्था परिवर्तन का दावा करने वाली सरकार शिक्षा व्यवस्था को पटरी से उतारने में लगी हुई है। प्रदेश में बिगड़ती कानून व्यवस्था और बढ़ रही नशा खोरी को भी उन्होंने बेहद चिंताजनक बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि ABVP छात्रहितों की रक्षा के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और किसी भी छात्र विरोधी निर्णय को स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा।

ABVP की 11 सूत्रीय प्रमुख मांगें:

प्रदेश में छात्र संघ चुनाव बहाल किए जाएँ। सरदार पटेल विश्वविद्यालय का दायरा बढ़ाया जाए। कृषि विश्वविद्यालय की 112 हैक्टेयर भूमि को हस्तांतरित करने की प्रक्रिया रोकी जाए। कृषि विश्वविद्यालय पालमपुर, तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय हमीरपुर व नौनी विश्वविद्यालय में स्थाई कुलपतियों की नियुक्ति जल्द हो। केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय धर्मशाला परिसर के भवन निर्माण के लिए लंबित 30 करोड़ रुपये तुरंत जारी किए जाएँ। राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 को पूर्ण रूप से लागू किया जाए।

महाविद्यालयों व HPU क्षेत्रीय केंद्र की आधारभूत संरचना को सुदृढ़ किया जाए। विश्विद्यालयों HPU/SPU की मूल्यांकन प्रक्रिया को पारदर्शी बनाया जाए। प्रदेश के 100 स्कूलों को परिवर्तित करने का निर्णय रद्द किया जाए। 5 लाख नौकरियों के झूठे दावे बंद कर युवाओं को स्थायी रोजगार दिया जाए। प्रदेश की बिगड़ती कानून व्यवस्था और बढ़ती नशा खोरी पर रोक लगाई जाए। इस दौरान प्रांत सह मंत्री अभी ठाकुर, RKM प्रांत संयोजिका शिवानी चौहान, आशीष शर्मा, प्रियांशु शर्मा, भारत ठाकुर, शिवम् भाटिया सहित अनेक कार्यकर्ता मौजूद रहे।

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Paonta unit held a peaceful, silent protest on Monday at the college campus, presenting an 11-point list of demands. The activists wore black armbands over their mouths to protest the state government’s neglect of student interests and its insensitivity towards serious issues related to the education system. Unit president Manish Samta said that the council has been raising issues related to student welfare for a long time, but the government is not paying attention. He warned that if a solution is not found soon, a large-scale movement will be launched across the entire state. He also strongly protested the delay in the full implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. Unit secretary Aniket Bhandari said that the government, which claims to be bringing about systemic change, is instead derailing the education system. He also expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation and the rising drug abuse in the state. He stated that the ABVP is committed to protecting the interests of students and will not accept any anti-student decisions.

ABVP’s 11 key demands:

Student union elections should be reinstated in the state. The jurisdiction of Sardar Patel University should be expanded. The process of transferring 112 hectares of land belonging to the agricultural university should be stopped. Permanent Vice-Chancellors should be appointed soon at the Agricultural University Palampur, Technical University Hamirpur, and Nauni University. The pending ₹30 crore for the construction of the Central University Dharamshala campus buildings should be released immediately. The National Education Policy 2020 should be fully implemented.

The infrastructure of colleges and the HPU regional center should be strengthened. The evaluation process of HPU/SPU universities should be made transparent. The decision to convert 100 schools in the state should be revoked. False claims of 5 lakh jobs should be stopped, and permanent employment should be provided to the youth. The deteriorating law and order situation and rising drug abuse in the state should be curbed. During this time, State Co-Minister Abhi Thakur, RKM State Convenor Shivani Chauhan, Ashish Sharma, Priyanshu Sharma, Bharat Thakur, Shivam Bhatia, and many other activists were present.
