पीएम श्री कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) के विशेष शिविर के पांचवें दिन छात्राओं ने स्वच्छता अभियान चलाया। इस दौरान विद्यालय परिसर की सफाई की गई तथा पानी की टंकियों, छत और सोलर पैनल्स को भी साफ किया गया। वॉलंटियर्स द्वारा विद्यालय के अन्य विद्यार्थियों को स्वच्छता एवं व्यक्तिगत सफाई के प्रति जागरूक किया गया। कार्यक्रम में स्रोत वक्ता के रूप में सिविल अस्पताल पांवटा साहिब से टीबी सुपरवाइज़र कौशल्या देवी को आमंत्रित किया गया।

प्रोग्राम ऑफिसर रमेश भारद्वाज ने उन्हें स्मृति चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया। कौशल्या देवी ने छात्राओं को टीबी मुक्त भारत बनाने की शपथ दिलाई और बताया कि टीबी एक खतरनाक संक्रामक बीमारी है, जिसकी रोकथाम के लिए बचपन में बीसीजी वैक्सीन लगाया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि टीबी रोगियों को सरकारी अस्पतालों में निशुल्क दवाइयां उपलब्ध करवाई जाती हैं और डॉट्स प्रोग्राम के माध्यम से इसका उपचार प्रभावी रूप से किया जाता है। उन्होंने वॉलंटियर्स को व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता के महत्व से भी अवगत कराया। अंत में प्रोग्राम ऑफिसर रमेश भारद्वाज ने उनका धन्यवाद किया।

On the fifth day of the special National Service Scheme (NSS) camp held at PM Shri Kanya Senior Secondary School, the students conducted a cleanliness drive. During this drive, the school premises were cleaned, and the water tanks, roof, and solar panels were also cleaned. The volunteers also raised awareness among other students of the school about cleanliness and personal hygiene. Kausalya Devi, TB Supervisor from Civil Hospital Paonta Sahib, was invited as a guest speaker for the program.

Program Officer Ramesh Bhardwaj honored her with a memento. Kaushalya Devi administered an oath to the students to make India TB-free and explained that TB is a dangerous infectious disease, which is prevented by administering the BCG vaccine in childhood. She said that TB patients are provided with free medicines in government hospitals and that it is effectively treated through the DOTS program. She also apprised the volunteers of the importance of personal hygiene. Finally, Program Officer Ramesh Bhardwaj thanked her.
