हिमाचल प्रदेश में दलित उत्पीड़न, भेदभाव और अधिकारों पर हमलों के खिलाफ सोमवार को नाहन में दलित शोषण मुक्ति मंच ने रोष रैली निकाली। इस रोष रैली में आठ से ज्यादा दलित संगठनों के प्रतिनिधियों ने हिस्सा लिया और दलितों पर बढ़ रहे अत्याचार के खिलाफ आवाज बुलंद की। यह रोष रैली हिंदू आश्रम नाहन से शुरू हुई जो विभिन्न मार्गों से होती हुई उपायुक्त कार्यालय तक पहुंची। इससे पूर्व हिंदू आश्रम नाहन में हुए दलित संगठनों के संयुक्त मंच का अधिवेशन हुआ। इसका शुभारंभ संयोजक आशीष कुमार ने किया, जबकि मंच का संचालन सतपाल मान ने किया। आशीष कुमार ने कहा कि प्रदेश में हाल ही में दलितों पर अत्याचार बढ़ा है। रोहड़ू में दलित बच्चे सिकंदर की संदिग्ध मृत्यु, कुल्लू के सैंज में दलित महिला पर हमले और उसकी मौत ने पूरे प्रदेश में आक्रोश पैदा किया है।

अधिवेशन में 31 सदस्य कमेटी का भी गठन किया गया। इसमें राजेश तोमर को संयोजक, विजय चौरिया, प्रसन तोमर और प्रवीण सोढ़ा को सह संयोजक चुना गया। दलित शोषण मुक्ति मंच ने मुख्यमंत्री से एससी/एसटी (अत्याचार निवारण) अधिनियम के तहत लंबित मामलों की समयबद्ध और निष्पक्ष जांच करने, दोषियों की गिरफ्तारी तत्काल सुनिश्चित करने, तेलंगाना की तर्ज पर एससी/एसटी विकास निधि कानून और 85वां संविधान पूर्ण रूप से लागू करने की मांग की। इसके अलावा पीड़ित परिवारों को तत्काल आर्थिक सहायता देने, इस वर्ग के छात्रों को समय पर छात्रवृत्ति देने, नई भर्तियों में आरक्षण रोस्टर लागू करने, सरकारी व शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में भेदभाव के मामलों की जांच के लिए राज्य स्तरीय निगरानी समिति गठित करने की मांग की।

The Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch held a protest rally in Nahan on Monday against Dalit oppression, discrimination, and attacks on their rights in Himachal Pradesh. Representatives from more than eight Dalit organizations participated in the protest rally, raising their voices against the increasing atrocities against Dalits. The protest rally began at the Hindu Ashram, Nahan, and traveled through various routes to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Prior to this, a joint convention of Dalit organizations was held at the Hindu Ashram, Nahan. The convention was inaugurated by convener Ashish Kumar, while the forum was moderated by Satpal Mann. Ashish Kumar stated that atrocities against Dalits have recently increased in the state. The suspicious death of a Dalit child, Sikandar, in Rohru, and the attack and death of a Dalit woman in Sainj, Kullu, have sparked outrage across the state.

A 31-member committee was also formed at the convention. Rajesh Tomar was elected as the convener, Vijay Chauriya, Prasan Tomar, and Praveen Sodha were elected co-conveners. The Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch demanded from the Chief Minister a timely and impartial investigation of pending cases under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, immediate arrest of the culprits, and full implementation of the SC/ST Development Fund Act and the 85th Constitution, similar to those in Telangana. They also demanded immediate financial assistance to the victim families, timely scholarships to students from this category, implementation of the reservation roster in new recruitments, and the formation of a state-level monitoring committee to investigate cases of discrimination in government and educational institutions.
