हिमालयन यूथ स्पोर्ट्स एंड कल्चर क्लब शिलाई द्वारा आयोजित 42वीं इंदिरा गांधी मेमोरियल खेलकूद एवं सांस्कृतिक प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ 10 नवंबर से हो चुका है। प्रतियोगिता के तहत विभिन्न खेलकूद कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं। आज क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता का भव्य समापन किया गया। सबसे तेज खबर चैनल को क्लब के सह कोषाध्यक्ष पंकज नेगी ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता 10 से 18 नवंबर तक चली, जिसमें 64 टीमों ने हिस्सा लिया। हर वर्ष की तरह इस बार भी प्रतियोगिता को विशेष बनाने के लिए क्लब ने प्रत्येक टीम में 7 स्थानीय ग्रामीण खिलाड़ियों और 4 बाहरी राज्यों से खिलाड़ियों को शामिल करने का नियम बनाया। इससे प्रतियोगिता और भी रोचक व प्रतिस्पर्धी बन गई।

इस वर्ष हिमाचल, उत्तराखंड, हरियाणा, पंजाब और चंडीगढ़ की टीमें भी टूर्नामेंट में शामिल हुईं। फाइनल मुकाबला शिलाई पैंथर और सुपर किंग चढ़ेऊ के बीच खेला गया, जो बेहद रोमांचक रहा। शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए शिलाई पैंथर ने जीत हासिल की और 1,51,000 रुपये नकद पुरस्कार तथा ट्रॉफी अपने नाम की। उपविजेता सुपर किंग चढ़ेऊ को 71,000 रुपये नकद पुरस्कार और ट्रॉफी देकर सम्मानित किया गया। *व्यक्तिगत पुरस्कारों में—* बेस्ट बैट्समैन: पंकज नेगी,बेस्ट फील्डर: अमित तोमर,बेस्ट बॉलर: अजय,बेस्ट कीपर: विवेक, फाइनल मैच मैन ऑफ द मैच: देवेंद्र शर्मा उर्फ देवू को कैश + ट्रॉफी दी गई। वही मैन ऑफ द सीरीज: इशू वर्मा को स्मार्टफोन + ट्रॉफी दी गई।

प्रतियोगिता के दूसरे चरण में कल 19 नवंबर को महिलाओं की प्रो कबड्डी लीग, बैडमिंटन, चेस, रस्सा-कस्सी, ओपन दंगल, कुर्सी दौड़ और वॉलीबॉल जैसी विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इन कार्यक्रमों का शुभारंभ उद्योग मंत्री हर्षवर्धन चौहान द्वारा किया जाएगा, जबकि सीताराम शर्मा विशेष अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहेंगे। इसके अलावा 20 नवंबर को भव्य सांस्कृतिक संध्या आयोजित की जाएगी, जिसमें हिमाचली लोक गायक विक्की चौहान और पंकज शर्मा रोहड़ू विशेष रूप से प्रस्तुति देंगे। स्थानीय कलाकार भी अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। क्लब अध्यक्ष रमेश नेगी, महासचिव प्रदीप ठाकुर और कोषाध्यक्ष जवाहर देसाई ने सभी क्षेत्रवासियों से आग्रह किया है कि प्रतियोगिता और सांस्कृतिक संध्या में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लें और आयोजन को सफल बनाएं।

The 42nd Indira Gandhi Memorial Sports and Cultural Competition, organized by the Himalayan Youth Sports and Culture Club, Shillai, has begun on November 10. Various sports events are being organized as part of the competition. The cricket competition concluded with a grand ceremony today. Giving information to Sabse Tez Khabar channel, the club’s co-treasurer, Pankaj Negi, said that the cricket competition ran from November 10 to 18, in which 64 teams participated. Like every year, this time too, to make the competition special, the club made a rule to include 7 local rural players and 4 players from outside states in each team. This made the competition even more interesting and competitive.

This year, teams from Himachal, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh also participated in the tournament. The final match was played between Shillai Panther and Super King Chadheu, which was very exciting. Shillai Panther won by performing brilliantly and won a cash prize of Rs 1,51,000 and a trophy. The runner-up Super King Chadheu was honored with a cash prize of Rs 71,000 and a trophy. *Individual awards-* Best Batsman: Pankaj Negi, Best Fielder: Amit Tomar, Best Bowler: Ajay, Best Keeper: Vivek, Final Match Man of the Match: Devendra Sharma alias Devu were given cash + trophy. Whereas Man of the Series: Ishu Verma was given a smartphone + trophy.

In the second phase of the competition, tomorrow, November 19th, various sports competitions such as Women’s Pro Kabaddi League, badminton, chess, tug-of-war, open wrestling, chair race, and volleyball will be organized. These events will be inaugurated by Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan, while Sitaram Sharma will be present as a special guest. In addition, a grand cultural evening will be organized on November 20th, in which Himachali folk singers Vicky Chauhan and Pankaj Sharma Rohru will perform specially. Local artists will also showcase their art. Club President Ramesh Negi, General Secretary Pradeep Thakur, and Treasurer Jawahar Desai have urged all the residents of the area to participate enthusiastically in the competition and cultural evening and make the event a success.
