हिमाचल प्रदेश में अब सरकारी कॉलेजों में भी शिक्षकों और गैर शिक्षण कर्मचारियों की हाजिरी जीओ-फेंस आधारित बायोमेट्रिक प्रणाली के माध्यम से दर्ज की जाएगी। उच्च शिक्षा निदेशालय ने इस संबंध में सभी कॉलेज प्राचार्यों को पत्र जारी कर दिया है और 15 नवंबर से इस प्रणाली से हाजिरी सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इस व्यवस्था के तहत शिक्षक और गैर शिक्षक अपनी हाजिरी एचपी एबास मोबाइल एप के माध्यम से ही दर्ज करेंगे। इस एप में जीओ-फेंसिंग तकनीक के जरिए यह सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा कि कर्मचारी केवल कॉलेज परिसरों के भीतर रहकर ही उपस्थिति दर्ज कर सकें। इससे कर्मचारियों की उपस्थिति प्रणाली और अधिक पारदर्शी, सटीक और जवाबदेह बनेगी।

उच्च शिक्षा निदेशक डॉ. अमरजीत कुमार शर्मा ने बताया कि इस प्रणाली को लागू करने के लिए पहले ही सभी सरकारी कॉलेजों के लिए डिजिटल टेक्नोलॉजीज एंड गवर्नेंस विभाग की ओर से प्रशिक्षण सत्र आयोजित किए जा चुके हैं। नई व्यवस्था के तहत शिक्षकों और गैर शिक्षकों को अब पारंपरिक रजिस्टर या बायोमेट्रिक मशीन की आवश्यकता नहीं रहेगी। मोबाइल एप से कर्मचारी कॉलेज की सीमा में प्रवेश करने के बाद उपस्थिति दर्ज करेंगे। 15 नवंबर से यह व्यवस्था लागू होगी। विभागीय अधिकारियों ने बताया कि भविष्य में इस प्रणाली को विश्वविद्यालयों और तकनीकी संस्थानों में भी लागू करने पर विचार किया जा रहा है। इससे सभी शिक्षण संस्थानों में एक समान और डिजिटल उपस्थिति व्यवस्था लागू हो सकेगी।

In Himachal Pradesh, the attendance of teachers and non-teaching staff in government colleges will now be recorded through a geo-fence based biometric system. The Directorate of Higher Education has issued a letter to all college principals in this regard and has instructed them to ensure attendance through this system from November 15. Under this system, teachers and non-teaching staff will record their attendance only through the HP Abass mobile app. The geo-fencing technology in this app will ensure that employees can record their attendance only while staying within the college premises. This will make the attendance system of employees more transparent, accurate and accountable.

Director of Higher Education, Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma, stated that the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance has already conducted training sessions for all government colleges to implement this system. Under the new system, teachers and non-teachers will no longer need traditional registers or biometric machines. Employees will mark their attendance upon entering the college premises using a mobile app. This system will be implemented on November 15th. Department officials stated that in the future, this system is being considered for implementation in universities and technical institutions as well. This will enable a uniform and digital attendance system in all educational institutions.
