हिमाचल प्रदेश में ठंड का कहर लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है। दिन में धूप निकलने के बावजूद रातें काफी सर्द हो गई हैं। मैदानी और मध्यम पर्वतीय शहरों में तापमान में तेज गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। खास बात यह है कि कांगड़ा, सुंदरनगर और हमीरपुर जैसे निचले इलाकों में रात का तापमान राजधानी शिमला से भी नीचे पहुंच गया है, जिससे इन क्षेत्रों में ठिठुरन बढ़ गई है। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार मंगलवार रात से बुधवार सुबह तक सबसे कम तापमान जनजातीय जिले लाहौल-स्पीति के ताबो में -4.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। इसी जिला के मुख्यालय केलंग में -3.0 डिग्री और कुकुमसेरी में -2.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। किन्नौर जिला के कल्पा में पारा 0.2 डिग्री और रिकांगपिओ में 3 डिग्री सेल्सियस रिकॉर्ड किया गया। हिल स्टेशन मनाली में तापमान 2.7 डिग्री पहुंच गया।

राजधानी शिमला में न्यूनतम तापमान 9.0 डिग्री व कुफ़री में 7.3 डिग्री सेल्सियस रिकॉर्ड किया गया, जबकि कांगड़ा में यह 5.8, सुंदरनगर में 5.3, हमीरपुर में 6.0 डिग्री और ऊना में 8.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहा। इसका मतलब है कि मैदानों का पारा अब पहाड़ी राजधानी से नीचे चला गया है। सोलन में न्यूनतम तापमान 5.3, पालमपुर में 5.0, मंडी में 7.6, बिलासपुर में 9 डिग्री सेल्सियस तापमान दर्ज किया गया। धर्मशाला और नाहन में न्यूनतम तापमान 9.8 डिग्री, नारकण्डा में 4.7, भरमौर में 5.2 और कसौली में 11.5 डिग्री रहा। सिरमौर जिला का पांवटा साहिब साहिब प्रदेश में सबसे गर्म रहा, जहां रात का तापमान 14 डिग्री रिकॉर्ड हुआ। बीती रात राज्य के औसतन न्यूनतम तापमान में 0.4 डिग्री की गिरावट आई औऱ ये सामान्य से 1.5 डिग्री नीचे रिकार्ड किया गया।

मौसम विभाग ने बताया कि प्रदेश के अधिकांश हिस्सों में तापमान सामान्य से एक से तीन डिग्री कम चल रहा है। पहाड़ी व मैदानी क्षेत्रों में सुबह और शाम ठंडी हवाएं चलने लगी हैं। हालांकि 18 नवम्बर तक राज्य में कहीं भी बारिश व बर्फबारी की संभावना नहीं है। आज राज्य के अधिकांश क्षेत्रों में मौसम शुष्क और साफ बना हुआ है। कई स्थानों पर धूप खिलने से दिन में हल्की राहत मिल रही है, लेकिन रात के तापमान में और गिरावट आने के आसार हैं। बिलासपुर और सुंदरनगर में सुबह के समय हल्का कोहरा छाया रहा, जिससे दृश्यता प्रभावित हुई। मौसम केंद्र शिमला के अनुसार आने वाले कुछ दिनों तक हिमाचल में ठंड का असर और बढ़ेगा, जबकि ऊंचाई वाले इलाकों में न्यूनतम तापमान शून्य से नीचे रहने की संभावना है।

The cold wave continues to intensify in Himachal Pradesh. Despite sunny days, nights have become quite cold. Temperatures have dropped sharply in the plains and mid-mountain towns. Significantly, night temperatures in lower areas like Kangra, Sundernagar, and Hamirpur have dropped below those of the capital Shimla, increasing the chill in these areas. According to the Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature recorded from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning was -4.5 degrees Celsius in Tabo, in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti. Keylong, the district headquarters, recorded -3.0 degrees Celsius, and Kukumseri -2.9 degrees Celsius. Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a low of 0.2 degrees Celsius, and Reckong Peo recorded 3 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the hill station Manali reached 2.7 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in the capital, Shimla, was recorded at 9.0 degrees Celsius, while Kufri recorded 7.3 degrees Celsius. Kangra recorded 5.8 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 5.3 degrees Celsius, Hamirpur 6.0 degrees Celsius, and Una 8.5 degrees Celsius. This means that the mercury in the plains has now dropped below the hill capital. Solan recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius, Palampur 5.0 degrees Celsius, Mandi 7.6 degrees Celsius, and Bilaspur 9 degrees Celsius. Dharamshala and Nahan recorded 9.8 degrees Celsius, Narkanda 4.7 degrees Celsius, Bharmour 5.2 degrees Celsius, and Kasauli 11.5 degrees Celsius. Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district was the hottest place in the state, recording a night temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. Last night, the state’s average minimum temperature dropped by 0.4 degrees, 1.5 degrees below normal.

The Meteorological Department reported that temperatures in most parts of the state are one to three degrees below normal. Cold winds have begun blowing in the morning and evening in the hilly and plain areas. However, there is no possibility of rain or snowfall anywhere in the state until November 18th. Today, the weather remained dry and clear in most parts of the state. Sunshine in many places is providing some relief during the day, but night temperatures are expected to drop further. Light fog enveloped Bilaspur and Sundernagar in the morning, affecting visibility. According to the Meteorological Center, Shimla, the cold will intensify in Himachal for the next few days, with minimum temperatures likely to remain below freezing in the higher altitudes.
