14वें स्टेट मास्टर्स गेम्स 2025-26 में सिरमौर जिले की वॉलीबॉल टीम ने ज़बरदस्त जुझारूपन का प्रदर्शन करते हुए स्वर्ण पदक (Gold Medal) अपने नाम कर लिया। हमीरपुर में आयोजित फाइनल मुकाबले में सिरमौर ने मंडी की मजबूत टीम को पाँच सेटों के कड़े संघर्ष में पराजित किया। फाइनल मैच का रोमांच चरम पर था। शुरुआत में मंडी की टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए लगातार पहले दो सेट जीतकर सिरमौर पर दबाव बना दिया। लग रहा था कि मंडी आसानी से जीत दर्ज कर लेगी, लेकिन सिरमौर के अनुभवी खिलाड़ियों ने हार नहीं मानी। मुकाबले की शुरुआत में मंडी की टीम ने दमदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए पहला सेट 22-25 से अपने नाम किया।

दूसरा सेट भी मंडी ने 35-33 के करीबी अंतर से जीत लिया और 0-2 की बढ़त बना ली। 0-2 से पिछड़ने के बाद, सिरमौर के अनुभवी खिलाड़ियों ने मैदान पर अपनी रणनीति और मनोबल को मज़बूत किया। ज्ञान छींटा, बलदेव राणा, भरत सिंह चौहान, चंदरपाल ठाकुर, प्रकाश राणा और यशपाल जैसे अनुभवी खिलाड़ियों ने न सिर्फ तीसरा सेट जीता (25-19), बल्कि चौथे सेट (27-25) और निर्णायक पांचवें सेट (17-15) में भी ड्यूस के बाद जीत हासिल की। इस तरह सिरमौर ने पिछड़ने के बाद 3-2 से मंडी को हराकर वॉलीबॉल में स्वर्ण पदक अपने नाम किया। टूर्नामेंट का शुभारंभ 8 नवंबर को हुआ था, जिसका उद्घाटन मुख्यमंत्री के प्रधान सलाहकार सुनील शर्मा (बिट्टू) ने किया था। आज आयोजित समापन समारोह में विजेता टीमों को पुरस्कृत किया गया। सिरमौर टीम की इस ऐतिहासिक जीत पर जिला के खेल प्रेमियों और खिलाड़ियों में खुशी की लहर है।

In the 14th State Masters Games 2025-26, the volleyball team of Sirmaur district displayed tremendous fighting spirit and won the Gold Medal. In the final match held in Hamirpur, Sirmaur defeated the strong team of Mandi in a tough fight of five sets. The excitement of the final match was at its peak. In the beginning, the team of Mandi performed brilliantly and put pressure on Sirmaur by winning the first two sets consecutively. It seemed that Mandi would win easily, but the experienced players of Sirmaur did not give up. In the beginning of the match, the team of Mandi gave a strong performance and won the first set by 22-25.

Mandi also won the second set by a close margin of 35-33, taking a 0-2 lead. After falling behind 0-2, Sirmaur’s experienced players strengthened their strategy and morale on the field. Experienced players like Gyan Chhinta, Baldev Rana, Bharat Singh Chauhan, Chanderpal Thakur, Prakash Rana, and Yashpal not only won the third set (25-19), but also won the fourth set (27-25) and the decisive fifth set (17-15) after a deuce. Thus, Sirmaur, after a 3-2 victory, defeated Mandi to win the volleyball gold medal. The tournament, which began on November 8th and was inaugurated by Sunil Sharma (Bittu), Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister, was presented with awards at the closing ceremony held today. This historic victory by the Sirmaur team has brought joy to sports fans and players in the district.
