राजकीय महाविद्यालय, शिलाई में कैरियर काउंसलिंग एवं प्लेसमेंट सेल के तत्वावधान में आज एक विशेष व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. जे.आर. कश्यप ने की। इस अवसर पर एच.पी. एनसीसी बटालियन, नाहन के कमांडिंग ऑफिसर लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल जगत सिंह चौहान को मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया। अपने संबोधन में लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल जे.एस. चौहान ने एनसीसी के उद्देश्य, महत्व और राष्ट्रीय युवा शक्ति के निर्माण में इसकी भूमिका पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि एनसीसी युवाओं में अनुशासन, नेतृत्व क्षमता, चरित्र निर्माण, राष्ट्रभावना और समाज सेवा की भावना विकसित करता है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि एनसीसी प्रशिक्षण से युवा सशक्त, आत्मनिर्भर और जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने की दिशा में अग्रसर होते हैं।

कर्नल चौहान ने कहा कि एनसीसी के माध्यम से कैडेट्स को सैन्य प्रशिक्षण, ड्रिल, हथियार प्रशिक्षण, साहसिक गतिविधियाँ, आपदा प्रबंधन तथा विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय शिविरों का अनुभव मिलता है। इससे न केवल उनका व्यक्तित्व निखरता है, बल्कि भविष्य में सेना, पुलिस, अर्धसैनिक बलों एवं अन्य सरकारी सेवाओं में अवसर भी बढ़ते हैं। कार्यक्रम में महाविद्यालय के वरिष्ठ प्रोफेसर अजय सिंह, कैरियर काउंसलिंग एवं प्लेसमेंट सेल के समन्वयक प्रो. सतपाल सिंह ठाकुर, प्रो. ए.आर. ठाकुर, प्रो. रीना शर्मा, प्रो. रंजना चौहान, प्रो. अनिल कुमार, प्रो. रीना देवी, प्रो. राम लाल ठाकुर तथा प्रो. रीबा उपस्थित रहे।

Special lecture on NCC at Government College, Shillai: Lieutenant Colonel J.S. Chauhan encouraged the youth.

A special lecture was organized today at Government College, Shillai, under the auspices of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell. The program was presided over by the college’s Principal, Dr. J.R. Kashyap. Lieutenant Colonel Jagat Singh Chauhan, Commanding Officer of the HP NCC Battalion, Nahan, was invited as the keynote speaker. In his address, Lieutenant Colonel J.S. Chauhan elaborated on the objectives and importance of the NCC, and its role in building the national youth force. He stated that the NCC instills discipline, leadership skills, character building, patriotism, and a sense of social service in youth. He also explained that NCC training helps youth become empowered, self-reliant, and responsible citizens.

Colonel Chauhan said that through NCC, cadets gain experience in military training, drill, weapons training, adventure activities, disaster management, and various national camps. This not only enhances their personality but also increases future opportunities in the army, police, paramilitary forces, and other government services. Senior college professor Ajay Singh, Career Counseling and Placement Cell coordinator Professor Satpal Singh Thakur, Professor A.R. Thakur, Professor Reena Sharma, Professor Ranjana Chauhan, Professor Anil Kumar, Professor Reena Devi, Professor Ram Lal Thakur, and Professor Reeba were present at the event.
