सिरमौर जिले के विकास खंड कमरऊ के अंतर्गत बासोग-चम्यारा उठाऊ पेयजल योजना नौ साल बीत जाने के बाद भी तैयार नहीं हो पाई है। जबकि इसके पूरा होने का लोग बड़ी बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहे हैं। बता दें कि 1.30 करोड़ रुपये के बजट से यह योजना साल 2016 में शुरू हुई थी। इसका शिलान्यास तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री वीरभद्र सिंह ने किया था। इससे 28 उप गांव की 3300 से ज्यादा की आबादी लाभान्वित होनी है। जलशक्ति विभाग की ओर से अधिकांश कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है, लेकिन विद्युत विभाग की सप्लाई नहीं पहुंचने से योजना चालू नहीं हो पाई है। अब स्थिति यह है कि कई जगह से पाइप लाइन गायब हो चुकी हैं।

विभाग को इसे चालू करने के लिए फिर से पाइप लाइन जोड़नी पड़ेगी। बासोग-चम्यारा योजना से बागन धार में डेढ़ लाख का स्टोर टैंक बनाया गया है जिससे कमरऊ और बोहल बल्दवा खुइनल पंचायत के 28 उप गांव को सप्लाई दी जानी है। इस योजना से 3300 के करीब आबादी को फायदा मिलना है। जानकारी के अनुसार जलशक्ति विभाग ने बिजली बोर्ड को ट्रांसफार्मर व बिजली लाइन के लिए पैसे भी जमा करवा रखे हैं। जलशक्ति विभाग कफोटा के सहायक अभियंता वीरेंद्र शर्मा ने बताया कि जलशक्ति विभाग का 90 फीसदी कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। जहां-जहां लाइन टूटी हुई है उसे भी ठीक कर दिया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि बिजली विभाग ने काफी समय बीत जाने के बाद भी ट्रांसफार्मर और बिजली सप्लाई का कार्य नहीं किया है। इसके पूरा होते ही योजना शुरू कर दी जाएगी।

The Basog-Chamyara Lift Drinking Water Scheme, located in the Kamaru development block of Sirmaur district, remains unfinished even after nine years. People are eagerly awaiting its completion. This scheme was initiated in 2016 with a budget of ₹1.30 crore. Its foundation stone was laid by the then Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. It is to benefit a population of over 3,300 in 28 sub-villages. Most of the work has been completed by the Jal Shakti Department, but the scheme has not been operational due to a lack of electricity supply. The current situation is that pipelines have disappeared from many areas.

The department will have to reconnect the pipeline to make it operational. A storage tank worth 1.5 lakh rupees has been built in Bagan Dhar under the Basog-Chamyara scheme, which will supply water to 28 sub-villages of Kamaru and Bohal Baldwa Khuinal Panchayat. This scheme is expected to benefit a population of around 3,300. According to information, the Water Power Department has deposited funds with the Electricity Board for transformers and power lines. Virendra Sharma, Assistant Engineer of the Water Power Department, Kafota, stated that 90% of the Water Power Department’s work has been completed. Any broken lines will be repaired. He added that the Electricity Department has not completed the work on the transformers and power supply even after a considerable period of time. The scheme will be started as soon as this is completed.
