हिमाचल प्रदेश के राजगढ़ क्षेत्र के राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय (GSSS) शावगा की छात्रा वंशिका शर्मा ने वॉलीबॉल के राष्ट्रीय स्तर की स्पर्धा के लिए चयनित होकर पूरे क्षेत्र का नाम रोशन किया है। वंशिका (सुपुत्री तपिंदर शर्मा, ग्राम थनोह) का चयन अंडर-19 वर्ग की राष्ट्रीय वॉलीबॉल प्रतियोगिता के लिए किया गया है। वंशिका शर्मा के चयन से शावगा स्कूल ही नहीं, बल्कि समूचे राजगढ़ क्षेत्र में गर्व का माहौल है। स्कूल के कार्यवाहक प्रिंसिपल लोकेश तोमर, अध्यापक अभिभावक संघ (PTA) के अध्यक्ष राज कुमार ठाकुर और समस्त स्टाफ ने इस उपलब्धि के लिए स्कूल के शारीरिक शिक्षा शिक्षक (PET) सुखदेव भारद्वाज को विशेष बधाई दी है, जिनके अथक प्रयासों से स्कूल का नाम चमका है।

इस बीच, क्षेत्र के जाने-माने समाजसेवी राजकुमार और रणवीर सिंह ठाकुर ने हैरानी जताते हुए बताया कि सिरमौर की जिला स्तरीय चयन समिति ने जिस मेधावी छात्रा का चयन जिला और राज्य स्तर के लिए करना उचित नहीं समझा, उस लड़की ने अपनी कड़ी मेहनत और लगन के दम पर नेरवा में ट्रायल दिया, जहां चयनकर्ता समिति ने उसका चयन सीधे राष्ट्रीय स्तर के लिए कर दिया। इस अप्रत्याशित चयन से अब जिला सिरमौर चयन समिति के फैसलों और कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर सवालिया निशान खड़े हो गए हैं। प्राइमरी स्कूल शावगा के मुख्य अध्यापक यशपाल ठाकुर, भूतपूर्व पीटीए अध्यक्ष अजय ठाकुर और पवन ने भी वंशिका के चयन पर वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय के स्टाफ को बधाई दी है।

Vanshika Sharma, a student of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Shavga in Rajgarh area of Himachal Pradesh, has brought laurels to the entire region by getting selected for the national level volleyball competition. Vanshika (daughter of Tapinder Sharma, village Thanoh) has been selected for the national volleyball competition in the under-19 category. Vanshika Sharma’s selection has created an atmosphere of pride not only in Shavga school but in the entire Rajgarh region. Acting Principal of the school Lokesh Tomar, President of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Raj Kumar Thakur and the entire staff have specially congratulated the Physical Education Teacher (PET) of the school Sukhdev Bhardwaj for this achievement, whose tireless efforts have brought laurels to the school.

Meanwhile, well-known social workers of the area Rajkumar and Ranveer Singh Thakur expressed surprise and said that the district level selection committee of Sirmaur did not consider it appropriate to select a meritorious student for the district and state level, but on the basis of her hard work and dedication, that girl gave trials in Nerwa, where the selection committee directly selected her for the national level.
