विकासनगर। राज्य गठन की रजत जयंती पर जनसंघर्ष मोर्चा ने उत्तराखंड को केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनाए जाने की पुरजोर मांग उठाई है। मोर्चा अध्यक्ष एवं जीएमवीएन के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष रघुनाथ सिंह नेगी ने कहा कि राज्य आंदोलनकारियों और जनता के सपनों का उत्तराखंड भ्रष्टाचार, माफियागिरी और कमीशनखोरी की भेंट चढ़ गया है। 25 वर्षों में जनता को निराशा के सिवा कुछ नहीं मिला, जबकि नेताओं और माफियाओं की आमदनी में बेहिसाब इजाफा हुआ है।

नेगी ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत में कहा कि अगर जनता सच में ठान ले तो एक सप्ताह के भीतर प्रदेश को केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनाया जा सकता है। लेकिन इसके लिए निजी स्वार्थों से ऊपर उठकर एकजुट होना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि आंदोलनकारियों ने जिस स्वच्छ, पारदर्शी और जनोन्मुख शासन की कल्पना की थी, वह आज पूरी तरह ध्वस्त हो चुकी है।

उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि प्रदेश के अधिकांश विधायक और मंत्री खनन, ठेकेदारी और भूमि कब्जाने के कारोबार में लिप्त हैं। विधायक निधि में 25 से 35 प्रतिशत तक का कमीशन बंट रहा है, जिससे विकास कार्यों की गुणवत्ता बेहद निम्न स्तर की हो गई है। नेगी ने कहा कि प्रदेश कर्ज के जाल में फंसता जा रहा है और उसकी आर्थिक स्थिति दिवालिया होने की ओर बढ़ रही है।

उन्होंने सवाल उठाया — “क्या जनता ने इन नेताओं को इसलिए चुना था कि वे प्रदेश को कर्ज में डुबो दें?”
नेगी ने व्यंग्य करते हुए कहा, “जो लोग ग्राम प्रधान बनने की हैसियत नहीं रखते थे, वे आज मंत्री, विधायक और मुख्यमंत्री बन बैठे हैं — यही एकमात्र विकास हुआ है।

मोर्चा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनने से नेताओं पर लुटाए जा रहे हजारों करोड़ रुपये बच सकते हैं, जिन्हें जनहित में उपयोग किया जा सकेगा। उन्होंने जनता से आह्वान किया कि राज्य स्थापना की 25वीं वर्षगांठ पर प्रत्येक नागरिक केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनाने का संकल्प ले, ताकि शहीदों के सपनों का उत्तराखंड साकार हो सके।

इस मौके पर मोर्चा महासचिव आकाश पंवार और प्रवीण शर्मा ‘पिन्नी’ सहित अन्य पदाधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

On Silver Jubilee of Statehood, Jansangharsh Morcha Demands Union Territory Status for Uttarakhand — Says, “Fulfill the Dream of Martyrs Within a Week”

Vikasnagar. On the occasion of Uttarakhand’s silver jubilee of state formation, the Jansangharsh Morcha has strongly demanded that the state be granted Union Territory status. Morcha president and former GMVN vice-chairman Raghunath Singh Negi said that the Uttarakhand envisioned by statehood agitators and the public has fallen prey to corruption, mafia influence, and commission-based politics. He stated that in the past 25 years, the people have received nothing but disappointment, while the wealth of politicians and mafias has multiplied exponentially.

Speaking to the media, Negi asserted that if the people truly resolve, Uttarakhand could be declared a Union Territory within a week. However, for that to happen, the public must unite above personal interests. He added that the transparent, people-centric governance dreamt of by the statehood martyrs has completely collapsed.

Negi alleged that most of the state’s MLAs and ministers are involved in mining, contract dealings, and land-grabbing businesses. He claimed that commissions ranging from 25% to 35% are being pocketed from MLA funds, leading to extremely poor quality in development works. Negi warned that the state is sinking into a debt trap, and its economy is heading toward bankruptcy.

He questioned, “Did the people elect these leaders to drown the state in debt?” Taking a dig at the political class, Negi said, “Those who were not even capable of becoming village heads have now become ministers, MLAs, and even chief ministers — this is the only development the state has seen.”

The Morcha president further stated that turning Uttarakhand into a Union Territory would save thousands of crores of rupees currently being wasted on political leaders, which could instead be utilized for public welfare. He appealed to citizens to take a pledge on the 25th anniversary of statehood to work toward making Uttarakhand a Union Territory, thus realizing the dreams of the martyrs who fought for its creation.

On this occasion, Morcha general secretary Akash Panwar, Praveen Sharma ‘Pinni’, and other office bearers were present.
