पांवटा साहिब के गोंदपुर क्षेत्र में रविवार शाम करीब 8 बजे एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसा हुआ। इस हादसे में 50 वर्षीय प्रवासी महिला मंजू देवी की कार की टक्कर से मौत हो गई। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, मंजू देवी शाम के समय सड़क पार कर रही थीं कि इसी दौरान तेज़ रफ्तार से आ रही एक कार ने उन्हें जोरदार टक्कर मार दी। टक्कर इतनी भीषण थी कि महिला सड़क पर जा गिरी और गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई। स्थानीय लोगों ने तुरंत उन्हें पांवटा साहिब के सिविल अस्पताल पहुंचाया, लेकिन डॉक्टरों ने जांच के बाद उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। मृतका मंजू देवी प्रवासी मजदूर परिवार से संबंध रखती थीं और अपने पीछे चार छोटे बच्चों को छोड़ गई हैं। यह पूरा हादसा पास के एक पेट्रोल पंप के सीसीटीवी कैमरे में कैद हुआ है। पुलिस ने फुटेज के आधार पर जांच शुरू कर दी है और कार चालक की तलाश जारी है। स्थानीय लोगों ने प्रशासन से क्षेत्र में ओवरस्पीड वाहनों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है ताकि ऐसे हादसे दोबारा न हों।

A tragic road accident occurred around 8 p.m. on Sunday evening in the Gondpur area of Paonta Sahib. In this accident, 50-year-old migrant woman, Manju Devi, was killed after being hit by a car. According to eyewitnesses, Manju Devi was crossing the road in the evening when a speeding car struck her. The impact was so severe that the woman fell to the ground and was seriously injured. Locals immediately rushed her to the Paonta Sahib Civil Hospital, but doctors declared her dead after examination. The deceased, Manju Devi, belonged to a migrant laborer family and left behind four young children. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras at a nearby petrol pump. Police have launched an investigation based on the footage and are searching for the car driver. Locals have demanded that the administration take strict action against overspeeding vehicles in the area to prevent such accidents from happening again.
