दर्दनाक हादसा : 24 घंटे की मशक्कत के बाद नहर से बरामद हुआ मजदूर का शव……

काठगोदाम थाना क्षेत्र के कॉलटैक्स नहर में शनिवार की दोपहर एक मजदूर के गिरकर बह जाने से हड़कंप मच गया। सूचना मिलते ही काठगोदाम पुलिस, जल पुलिस, फायर यूनिट और सिंचाई विभाग की टीमों ने संयुक्त रूप से सर्च अभियान शुरू किया। हालांकि देर रात तक की गई लगातार खोज के बावजूद कोई सुराग नहीं मिला।

रातभर चले प्रयासों के बाद रविवार सुबह एक बार फिर सर्च अभियान शुरू किया गया, जहां करीब 24 घंटे बाद नहर से राजमिस्त्री का शव बरामद किया गया। शव की शिनाख्त के बाद पुलिस ने आवश्यक कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है।

पुलिस के मुताबिक, शनिवार दोपहर कॉलटैक्स क्षेत्र में एक 45 वर्षीय व्यक्ति के नहर में गिरकर बहने की सूचना मिली थी। आशंका जताई जा रही है कि मजदूर का पैर फिसलने से वह नहर में गिरा और पानी के तेज बहाव में बह गया।घटना के बाद पुलिस प्रशासन और सिंचाई विभाग में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। तत्काल गौला बैराज से पानी का बहाव रोका गया और लगभग 15 किलोमीटर तक नहर के किनारे सर्च अभियान चलाया गया। रात के अंधेरे के कारण अभियान रोकना पड़ा, लेकिन रविवार सुबह पुनः तलाश शुरू की गई, जिसके बाद मजदूर का शव बरामद कर लिया गया।

एसपी सिटी मनोज कत्याल ने बताया कि सूचना मिलने के बाद से ही पुलिस लगातार मजदूर की तलाश में जुटी थी। अंधेरा होने के कारण सर्च अभियान रोकना पड़ा था, लेकिन सुबह अभियान दोबारा शुरू किया गया और टीम ने मजदूर का शव बरामद कर लिया।पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए भेज दिया है और घटना की जांच जारी है

Tragic Incident: Body of Laborer Recovered from Canal After 24 Hours of Search

A tragic accident occurred in the Kathgodam police station area when a laborer fell into the Calltax canal on Saturday afternoon and was swept away by the strong current. Following the incident, Kathgodam Police, Water Police, Fire Unit, and the Irrigation Department jointly launched an extensive search operation. However, despite continuous efforts till late night, the laborer could not be traced.

After an overnight search, the operation resumed on Sunday morning, and after nearly 24 hours of effort, the body of the mason was recovered from the canal. Following identification, the police began necessary legal proceedings.

According to the police, information was received on Saturday afternoon that a 45-year-old man had accidentally fallen into the canal near Calltax and been swept away. It is suspected that the laborer slipped while standing near the canal and fell into the water, which carried him away due to its strong flow.

The incident created panic among the police administration and the Irrigation Department. The flow of water from the Gaula Barrage was immediately stopped, and the search operation was conducted along a 15-kilometer stretch of the canal. Due to darkness, the operation had to be halted for the night, but it was resumed on Sunday morning, leading to the recovery of the laborer’s body.

SP City Manoj Katyal said that since receiving the information, police teams had been continuously searching for the missing laborer. The search was paused at night due to darkness but resumed in the morning, when the body was finally found.The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
