जिला सिरमौर पुलिस की स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन यूनिट (SIU) ने नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ एक और बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए दो युवकों को चरस की तस्करी करते रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया है। SIU टीम ने मिल्ला वाईफ्रकेशन के पास गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर दबिश दी, जहां से दो व्यक्तियों को पकड़ा गया। पकड़े गए आरोपियों की पहचान अनिल कुमार पुत्र जातिराम, निवासी गांव व डाकघर शिलाई, उम्र 37 वर्ष, और आशू वर्मा उर्फ अंकू पुत्र स्व. संतराम, निवासी गांव अच्छोटी, तहसील शिलाई, उम्र 21 वर्ष के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने तलाशी के दौरान दोनों आरोपियों से 712 ग्राम चरस बरामद की है। दोनों के खिलाफ ND&PS Act के तहत मामला दर्ज कर आगामी जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, दोनों आरोपियों को आज माननीय अदालत में पेश किया जाएगा। पुलिस यह भी जांच कर रही है कि दोनों आरोपी चरस कहां से लाए थे और इसे कहां सप्लाई करने जा रहे थे। पुलिस अधीक्षक सिरमौर ने कहा कि नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ जिला पुलिस की कार्रवाई आगे भी इसी तरह जारी रहेगी।

In another major crackdown against drug trafficking, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Sirmaur district police arrested two young men red-handed while smuggling hashish. Acting on a tip-off, the SIU team raided the Milla Wi-Fi facility near the area where the two men were apprehended. The arrested accused have been identified as Anil Kumar, son of Jatiram, a resident of village and post office Shilai, age 37, and Ashu Verma alias Anku, son of late Santram, a resident of village Achhoti, Tehsil Shilai, age 21. During the search, police recovered 712 grams of hashish from both accused. A case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act and further investigation has been initiated. According to police sources, both accused will be presented in court today. Police are also investigating where the accused procured the hashish and where they intended to supply it. Superintendent of Police Sirmaur stated that the district police’s crackdown against drug trafficking will continue in this manner.
