मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन की नेत्र ओपीडी में आंखों के रोगियों की संख्या में इजाफा हुआ है। अमूमन 50 से 70 तक रहने वाली ओपीडी 100 के पार पहुंच रही है। सोमवार को 105 के करीब आंखों के मरीज उपचार के लिए अस्पताल पहुंचे। इनमें अधिकतर मरीज संक्रमण, रेडनेस और पटाखों से जलने से हुई समस्या के रहे। दरअसल, तापमान में बदलाव ने लोगों की मुश्किलें बढ़ा दी है। वहीं दीपावली के जश्न का जोश भी कई जगह लोगों के लिए मुसीबत बना। मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन की ओपीडी में पिछले दो-तीन दिनों में पटाखों की वजह से जलने, एम्बलीओपिया, वायरल संक्रमण, ड्राइनेस और लालिमा (रेडनेस) से ग्रसित लोग उपचार के लिए पहुंच रहे हैं। बच्चे और युवा इन बीमारियों की चपेट में ज्यादा आए हैं।

नेत्र विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार पटाखों से निकला धुआं आंखों और त्वचा पर बुरा असर डाल रहा है। इसके अलावा तापमान में बदलाव के चलते भी मरीज वायरल संक्रमण और रेडनेस का शिकार हो रहे हैं। नेत्र ओपीडी में सोमवार को खासी भीड़ रही। हालांकि रविवार को अवकाश होने के कारण भी ओपीडी में बढ़ी है। नेत्र वार्ड में भी सभी बिस्तर लगभग फुल हैं। यहां पर ऑपरेशन के अलावा आंखों के गंभीर रोगी उपचाराधीन हैं। नेत्र रोग विभाग की एचओडी डॉ. शालू गुप्ता ने बताया कि मेडिकल कॉलेज की नेत्र ओपीडी में बढ़ोतरी हुई है। बीते दो-तीन दिनों से औसतन ओपीडी 100 के पार पहुंच रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि उपचार के साथ-साथ लोगों को आंखों की विशेष देखभाल के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि मोबाइल और डिजिटल स्क्रीन का प्रयोग कम करें। स्वच्छ भोजन और हरी पत्तेदार सब्जियों का सेवन करें। बिना चिकित्सक के सलाह के दवाई न लें।

According to eye specialists, the smoke from firecrackers is adversely affecting the eyes and skin. Furthermore, the temperature change is also causing patients to suffer from viral infections and redness. The eye outpatient department was crowded on Monday. However, the holiday on Sunday also increased the outpatient department. All beds in the eye ward are nearly full. In addition to surgeries, serious eye patients are being treated here. Dr. Shalu Gupta, HOD of the Ophthalmology Department, stated that the medical college’s eye outpatient department has seen an increase. The average outpatient department has exceeded 100 in the past two to three days. She added that, in addition to treatment, people are being encouraged to take special care of their eyes. She advised limiting the use of mobile phones and digital screens, eating clean food and green leafy vegetables, and avoiding medication without consulting a doctor.
