शिमला के जुब्बल में खेली जा रही राज्यस्तरीय अंडर-14 छात्रा वर्ग कबड्डी प्रतियोगिता में जिला सिरमौर की टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए विजेता बनने का गौरव हासिल किया है। पूरे टूर्नामेंट में सिरमौर की टीम ने बेहतरीन तालमेल, अनुशासन और दमदार खेल का परिचय दिया। पहले मुकाबले में सिरमौर की खिलाड़ियों ने हमीरपुर को 51-05 के बड़े अंतर से हराकर प्रतियोगिता में धमाकेदार शुरुआत की। इसके बाद टीम का आत्मविश्वास और बढ़ा और दूसरे मुकाबले में किन्नौर को 62-09 से पराजित कर लगातार दूसरी जीत दर्ज की। सेमीफाइनल में सिरमौर ने मंडी को 55-33 से मात देते हुए फाइनल में प्रवेश किया।

फाइनल मुकाबले में सिरमौर की शेरनियों ने दमदार खेल दिखाते हुए मेजबान जिला शिमला को 43-32 के अंतर से परास्त कर राज्यस्तरीय खिताब अपने नाम किया। यह जीत सिरमौर की खेल प्रतिभा और बेटियों की लगन का प्रतीक है। पूरे टूर्नामेंट के दौरान खिलाड़ियों ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हुए जिला का नाम रोशन किया। शिक्षा विभाग सिरमौर और सभी शारीरिक शिक्षकों (PETs) ने इस जीत पर टीम को हार्दिक बधाई दी और खिलाड़ियों के उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना की। उन्होंने कहा कि यह उपलब्धि निरंतर अभ्यास, कोचों के समर्पण और खिलाड़ियों की मेहनत का परिणाम है। इस जीत के बाद पूरे सिरमौर जिले में खुशी की लहर दौड़ गई है। खेल प्रेमियों और अभिभावकों ने भी टीम के हौसले और प्रदर्शन की सराहना की है।

The Sirmaur district team has achieved the honour of becoming the winner by giving a brilliant performance in the state level under-14 girl’s category Kabaddi competition being played in Jubbal, Shimla. The Sirmaur team displayed excellent coordination, discipline and strong game throughout the tournament. In the first match, the Sirmaur players made a spectacular start in the competition by defeating Hamirpur by a huge margin of 51-05. After this, the team’s confidence increased further and in the second match, they registered their second consecutive victory by defeating Kinnaur 62-09. In the semi-final, Sirmaur defeated Mandi by 55-33 and entered the final.

In the final match, the Sirmaur Lionesses displayed a strong performance, defeating the host district, Shimla, by a margin of 43-32 to win the state title.
