स्पेशल डिटेक्शन सेल पांवटा साहिब ने एक बड़ी सफलता हासिल करते हुए नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्यवाही को अंजाम दिया है। टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर बातापुल क्षेत्र में छापेमारी कर एक व्यक्ति से 25.10 ग्राम स्मैक (हेरोइन) बरामद की है। जानकारी के अनुसार, आरोपी की पहचान आबिद पुत्र मकसूद निवासी गांव भगवानपुर, डाकघर पुरुवाला, तहसील पांवटा साहिब, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। आरोपी को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।इस संबंध में पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब में NDPS अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। आरोपी को आज दिनांक 24 अक्तूबर 2025 को माननीय अदालत में पेश किया जाएगा, जहाँ से पुलिस हिरासत रिमांड प्राप्त किया जाएगा। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, स्पेशल डिटेक्शन सेल लगातार नशा तस्करी पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए सक्रिय है और इस प्रकार की कार्रवाई आगे भी जारी रहेगी।

The Special Detection Cell, Paonta Sahib, has achieved a major success, carrying out a major operation against drug trafficking. Acting on a tip-off, the team raided the Batapul area and recovered 25.10 grams of smack (heroin) from a man. According to information, the accused has been identified as Abid, son of Maqsood, resident of village Bhagwanpur, Post Office Purwala, Tehsil Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur. The accused was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Paonta Sahib. The accused will be produced before the Honorable Court today, October 24, 2025, where police custody remand will be obtained. According to police sources, the Special Detection Cell is continuously active in curbing drug trafficking and such actions will continue.
