गोवर्धन पूजा पर मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने की गौमाता की पूजा, बोले—‘गौ-संवर्धन से ही समृद्ध होगा समाज….

गोवर्धन पूजा के शुभ अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मंगलवार को मुख्यमंत्री आवास स्थित गौशाला में गौमाता की पूजा-अर्चना की। इस दौरान उन्होंने प्रदेश की खुशहाली, समृद्धि और जनकल्याण की कामना की।

मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि गोवर्धन पूजा प्रकृति संरक्षण और मनुष्य व पशु के बीच के स्नेह का प्रतीक है। यह पर्व हमें अपनी संस्कृति, परंपरा और पर्यावरण के प्रति संवेदनशील बने रहने का संदेश देता है।

उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदू धर्म में गाय को माता का दर्जा प्राप्त है। गौमाता सनातन संस्कृति और कृषि जीवन का अभिन्न अंग हैं। उनकी सेवा और संरक्षण न केवल धार्मिक आस्था से जुड़ा कार्य है, बल्कि यह आजीविका और आत्मनिर्भरता का भी आधार है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार गौ-संवर्धन और निराश्रित गौवंश की देखभाल के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि पहले निराश्रित पशुओं के भरण-पोषण के लिए 5 रुपये प्रति पशु प्रतिदिन की दर से सहायता दी जाती थी, जिसे बढ़ाकर अब 80 रुपये प्रति पशु प्रतिदिन कर दिया गया है।

इसके साथ ही निजी स्तर पर गौशालाओं के निर्माण के लिए राज्य सरकार 60 प्रतिशत सब्सिडी प्रदान कर रही है। धामी ने बताया कि वर्तमान में राज्य में करीब 54 गौ सदनों का निर्माण कार्य प्रगति पर है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी नागरिकों से आह्वान किया कि वे गायों की सेवा, सुरक्षा और संरक्षण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार भविष्य में भी गौ संरक्षण और संवर्धन के लिए सतत प्रयास करती रहेगी।

On the auspicious occasion of Govardhan Puja, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the worship of Gau Mata (holy cow) at the cowshed located at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. During the ceremony, he prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and welfare of the state.

Chief Minister Dhami said that “Govardhan Puja symbolizes the bond of love between humans and animals and emphasizes the importance of protecting nature. This festival reminds us to remain sensitive towards our culture, traditions, and environment.”

He further said that in Hinduism, the cow holds the revered status of a mother. “Gau Mata is an integral part of Sanatan (eternal) culture and agrarian life. Serving and protecting cows is not only a matter of faith but also a means of livelihood and self-reliance,” he added.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working for cow conservation and the welfare of stray cattle. He informed that earlier, ₹5 per animal per day was provided for the upkeep of stray cattle, which has now been increased to ₹80 per animal per day.

Additionally, the state government is offering 60% subsidy for the construction of private cowsheds. CM Dhami said that around 54 cow shelters are currently under construction across the state.

He appealed to all citizens to actively contribute to the service, safety, and protection of cows, affirming that the state government will continue its dedicated efforts towards cow conservation and development in the future.
