सिरमौर पुलिस द्वारा नशे के ख़िलाफ़ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत एक और बड़ी कार्रवाई को अंजाम दिया गया है। पुलिस की स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन यूनिट (SIU) नाहन ने नशे के सौदागर को दबोचने में सफलता हासिल की है। जानकारी के अनुसार, SIU नाहन की टीम को गुप्त सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि आयुष कुमार पुत्र संजय कुमार, निवासी नीलकंठ मोटर, बाल्मीकि बस्ती नाहन, जो काफी समय से चिट्टा/स्मैक की तस्करी में लिप्त है, अपनी कार HP18B-6565 (HYUNDAI XCENT) में कालाअंब की तरफ से नाहन की ओर बड़ी मात्रा में मादक पदार्थ लेकर आ रहा है। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए नाकाबंदी की और संदिग्ध वाहन को रोककर तलाशी ली।

तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस को 13.86 ग्राम चिट्टा (स्मैक) बरामद करने में सफलता मिली। इसके बाद आरोपी को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ थाना सदर नाहन में ND&PS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है। आज आरोपी को माननीय न्यायालय में पेश किया गया, जहाँ से उसे 5 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत (रिमांड) पर भेजा गया है। एसपी सिरमौर निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने बताया कि पुलिस अब यह पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है कि आरोपी यह मादक पदार्थ कहाँ से लेकर आता था और जिले में किन लोगों को सप्लाई करता था। पुलिस का उद्देश्य इस पूरे नेटवर्क का पर्दाफाश कर सभी दोषियों को सलाखों के पीछे पहुंचाना है।

According to the information, the SIU Nahan team received secret information that Ayush Kumar son of Sanjay Kumar, resident of Neelkanth Motor, Balmiki Basti Nahan, who has been involved in smuggling of Chitta/Smack for a long time, is bringing a large quantity of drugs from Kala Amb towards Nahan in his car HP18B-6565 (HYUNDAI XCENT). Based on the information, the police team took immediate action, set up a blockade and stopped the suspicious vehicle and searched it.

During the search, police recovered 13.86 grams of smack. The accused was subsequently arrested on the spot. Police have registered a case against the accused under the ND&PS Act at Sadar Police Station, Nahan. The accused was produced before the court today, where he was remanded to five days of police custody. Sirmaur Superintendent of Police, Nishchay Singh Negi, stated that police are now trying to determine where the accused procured the drugs and to whom he supplied them in the district. The police’s goal is to expose this entire network and put all the culprits behind bars.
