जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण सिरमौर तथा सूचना एवं जन सम्पर्क विभाग के समन्वय से चल रहे विशेष जागरूकता अभियान में आज उपमंडल संगडाह के अंधेरी व चाडना, बढग तथा गताधार,उप मंडल पांवटा साहिब के राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय भगानी व बनौर आपदा न्यूनीकरण जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुए। सिरमौर जिला में अब तक 48 स्थानो पर फोक मीडिया कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर लोगों को जागरूक किया जा चुका है।कार्यक्रम के दौरान गीत -संगीत व नुक्कड़ नाटक के माध्यम से लोगों को सुरक्षित निर्माण प्रथाओं के बारे में जागरूक करते हुए बताया कि घर बनाने से पूर्व स्थान का सही चयन करें तथा मिट्टी की जांच अवश्य करवा लें ताकि पता चल सके कि जिस जगह मकान बनाया जा रहा है वह स्थान भूस्खलन प्रभाव वाला तो नही है।

कलाकारों ने बताया कि हमें आपदाओं से संबंधित ज्यादा से ज्यादा जनकारियां होनी चाहिए तथा इन जानकारियों को अपने परिवार, बच्चों, बुजुर्गों के साथ भी सांझा करना चाहिए ताकि आपदा के समय जानमाल के नुकसान से बचा जा सके। उन्होंने बताया कि मौसम विभाग तथा प्रशासन द्वारा मौसम से संबंधित जारी की जाने वाली चेतावनी पर अमल करें तथा भारी बारिश, बर्फबारी व भीषण गर्मी जैसी चेतावनी जारी होने पर यात्रा न करें। कार्यक्रम के दौरान जिला आपदा प्रबंधन से नोडल अधिकारी लोकेश शर्मा ने लोगो को आपदा प्रबंधन को लेकर महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान की। इस दौरान उपस्थित लोगों को भवन निर्माण व आपदा प्रबंधन पर आधारित सूचना, शिक्षा व संचार सामग्री (आइ ई सी) वितरित की।

In the special awareness campaign being run in coordination with the District Disaster Management Authority Sirmaur and the Information and Public Relations Department, disaster reduction awareness programmes were organised today at Andheri and Chadna, Badhag and Gatadhar of Sub-Division Sangrah, Government Senior Secondary School Bhagani and Banour of Sub-Division Paonta Sahib. So far, people have been made aware by organising folk media programmes at 48 places in Sirmaur district. During the programme, people were made aware about safe construction practices through songs, music and street plays. It was told that before building a house, choose the right place and get the soil tested so that it can be known whether the place where the house is being built is affected by landslides or not.

The artists said that we should have maximum information related to disasters and should also share this information with our family, children and elders so that loss of life and property can be avoided during disaster. They said that we should follow the weather related warnings issued by the Meteorological Department and the administration and do not travel when warnings like heavy rain, snowfall and extreme heat are issued. During the program, Nodal Officer from District Disaster Management, Lokesh Sharma, provided important information to the people regarding disaster management. During this, Information, Education and Communication Material (IEC) based on building construction and disaster management was distributed to the people present.
