पांवटा साहिब उपमंडल के अंतर्गत आने वाले बद्रीपुर क्षेत्र में एक 22 वर्षीय युवती ने फंदा लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। मृतका की पहचान गुरप्रीत कौर (पुत्री हरदीप सिंह), निवासी बद्रीपुर, तहसील पांवटा साहिब, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। सूचना मिलते ही पांवटा साहिब पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सिविल अस्पताल भेज दिया। थाना प्रभारी पांवटा देवी सिंह ने स्वयं मौके पर पहुंचकर जांच शुरू की। प्रारंभिक जांच में आत्महत्या के कारणों का पता नहीं चल पाया है। डीएसपी पांवटा मानवेन्द्र ठाकुर ने बताया कि पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर छानबीन आरंभ कर दी है। मौके से कोई सुसाइड नोट बरामद नहीं हुआ है। पुलिस मृतका की कॉल डिटेल्स खंगालकर आत्महत्या के पीछे के कारणों का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है।

A 22-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself in the Badripur area of the Paonta Sahib subdivision. The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Kaur (daughter of Hardeep Singh), a resident of Badripur, Tehsil Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district. Upon receiving the information, Paonta Sahib police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it to the civil hospital for a post-mortem. Station House Officer Paonta Devi Singh personally arrived at the scene and began the investigation. Preliminary investigations have not revealed the cause of suicide. DSP Paonta Manvendra Thakur stated that the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. No suicide note was recovered from the scene. Police are attempting to determine the reasons behind the suicide by examining the deceased’s call details.
