राजकीय महाविद्यालय शिलाई में प्राचार्य डॉ. जे. आर. कश्यप के मार्गदर्शन में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण दिवस के अवसर पर भूगोल विभाग द्वारा महाविद्यालय आपदा प्रबंधन प्रकोष्ठ और करियर काउंसलिंग एवं प्लेसमेंट सेल के सहयोग से विभिन्न जागरूकता गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की गईं। इन गतिविधियों में निबंध लेखन, प्रश्नोत्तरी, पोस्टर मेकिंग, नारा लेखन और मॉडल मेकिंग प्रतियोगिताएँ शामिल थीं। विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लेकर आपदा प्रबंधन के प्रति अपनी जागरूकता और रचनात्मकता का परिचय दिया। प्रतियोगिता के परिणाम इस प्रकार रहे:निबंध लेखन में प्रथम अंजु बाला, द्वितीय स्नेहा, और तृतीय स्थान पूजा ने प्राप्त किया।

वही प्रश्नोत्तरी में प्रथम स्थान पर सरिता, द्वितीय पर निधिका, और तृतीय पर रबिना ने बाजी मारी। पोस्टर मेकिंग में प्रथम स्थान पर यश ठाकुर, द्वितीय स्थान पर परिणिता, और तृतीय स्थान अंजु बाला ने अर्जित किया। इसके साथ ही नारा लेखन में प्रथम स्थान प्रीति चौहान, द्वितीय स्थान निकिता चौहानऔर तृतीय स्थान पर पूजा रही। मॉडल मेकिंग में प्रथम स्थान पर पूजा एवं पार्टी, द्वितीय स्थान पर कृतिक एवं पार्टी, और तृतीय पर स्नेहा एवं पार्टी रही। अंत में महाविद्यालय आपदा प्रबंधन समिति और करियर काउंसलिंग एवं प्लेसमेंट सेल के समन्वयक प्रो. सतपाल ठाकुर ने सभी प्रतिभागियों, निर्णायकों और समिति के सदस्यों जिनमें प्रो. रविन्दर शर्मा, प्रो. ए. आर. ठाकुर, प्रो. मनीषा सिंह और प्रो. सुजाता खामन का धन्यवाद किया।

Students showed active participation on International Disaster Risk Reduction Day at Government College, Shillai.

Under the guidance of Principal Dr. J.R. Kashyap, the Department of Geography, Government College, Shillai, organized various awareness activities on the occasion of International Disaster Risk Reduction Day, in collaboration with the College Disaster Management Cell and the Career Counseling and Placement Cell. These activities included essay writing, quiz, poster making, slogan writing, and model making competitions. Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating their awareness and creativity regarding disaster management. The results of the competition were as follows: Anju Bala won first place in essay writing, Sneha second, and Pooja third.

In the quiz, Sarita won first place, Nidhika second, and Rubina third. Yash Thakur won first place in poster making, Parinita second, and Anju Bala third. Preeti Chauhan won first place in slogan writing, Nikita Chauhan second, and Pooja third. Pooja and her party won first place in model making, Kritik and her party second, and Sneha and her party third. Finally, Professor Satpal Thakur, coordinator of the college’s Disaster Management Committee and Career Counseling and Placement Cell, thanked all the participants, judges, and committee members, including Professor Ravinder Sharma, Professor A.R. Thakur, Professor Manisha Singh, and Professor Sujata Khaman.
