उपमण्डल दण्डाधिकारी, पांवटा साहिब गुंजित सिंह चीमा की अध्यक्षता में आज एसडीएम कार्यालय पांवटा साहिब के सभागार में दिवाली पर्व को सुरक्षात्मक एंव सुनियोजित रूप से मनाये जाने के उददेश्य से बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक में मौजूद विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों से विस्तृत चर्चा की गई, ताकि दिवाली के अवसर पर किसी भी प्रकार की अप्रिय घटना से बचा जा सके। इस दौरान आतिशबाजी की ब्रिकी के सम्बन्ध में अस्थाई स्टाल लगाने हेतु जगह के चयन बारे भी चर्चा की गई, जिसमें पूर्व की भांति इस वर्ष भी पुलिस ग्राउंड पांवटा साहिब को पटाखों का अस्थाई स्टाल लगाने हेतू चिन्हित किया गया।

गुंजित चीमा ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि दिवाली पर्व के अवसर पर पांवटा साहिब में 14 अक्तूबर 2025 से पटाखों की बिक्री हेतू एसडीएम कार्यालय पांवटा साहिब द्वारा लाइसैंस जारी किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि यह अस्थाई लाइसैंस 17 से 20 अक्तूबर 2025 तक ही मान्य होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में भी पटाखों की बिक्री हेतू सम्बन्धित ग्राम पंचायत से अनापत्ति प्रमाण पत्र लेना अनिवार्य रहेगा। इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने कहा कि पटाखों के होलसेलर तथा स्टॉकिस्ट भी मापदंडों के अनुसार लाइसेंस लेना सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने जानकारी देते हुए यह भी बताया कि एक कमेटी का गठन किया गया है, जो शहर में थोक पटाखा विक्रेताओं की दुकानों का औचक निरीक्षण करेगी तथा मापदंडों की अवेहलना करने पर उचित कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

उन्होंने प्रत्येक स्टाल लगाने वाले व्यक्ति को अपने स्टाल पर पानी की बाल्टी व रेत की बोरी रखने की हिदायत दी ताकि आगजनी से बचा जा सके। इसके अतिरिक्त उन्होंने अग्निशमन विभाग को निर्देश दिए कि वह आगजनी से बचाव हेतू अग्निशमन वाहन अस्थाई पटाखा बिक्री स्थलों पर तैनात करना सुनिश्चित करें। बैठक के दौरान खंड विकास अधिकारी विकास बंसल, नगरपालिका परिषद, जल शक्ति विभाग, पुलिस विभाग, फायर विभाग सहित विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी एवम् कर्मचारी तथा प्रधान व्यापार मण्डल अनिंदर सिह नोटी मौजूद रहे।

A meeting was held today in the auditorium of SDM office Paonta Sahib under the chairmanship of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Paonta Sahib Gunjit Singh Cheema with the aim of celebrating Diwali festival in a safe and planned manner. A detailed discussion was held with the officers and employees of various departments present in the meeting, so that any kind of untoward incident could be avoided on the occasion of Diwali. During this, the selection of place for setting up temporary stalls for the sale of fireworks was also discussed, in which, like before, this year also Police Ground Paonta Sahib was identified for setting up temporary stalls for firecrackers.

Gunjit Cheema informed that on the occasion of Diwali, licenses for the sale of firecrackers will be issued by the SDM office in Paonta Sahib from October 14, 2025. He added that these temporary licenses will be valid only from October 17 to 20, 2025. He added that even in rural areas, a no-objection certificate from the respective Gram Panchayat will be mandatory for the sale of firecrackers. Furthermore, he urged wholesalers and stockists to ensure they obtain licenses in accordance with the established standards. He also stated that a committee has been formed to conduct surprise inspections of wholesale firecracker sellers in the city, and appropriate legal action will be taken if the standards are violated.

He instructed every stall owner to keep a bucket of water and a bag of sand at their stall to prevent fire. He also directed the fire department to ensure that fire fighting vehicles are stationed at temporary firecracker selling points to prevent fire. Block Development Officer Vikas Bansal, officers and employees of various departments including Nagar Palika Parishad, Jal Shakti Department, Police Department, Fire Department and President of Vyapar Mandal Aninder Singh Noti were present during the meeting.
