सिरमौर जिला के दूरदराज क्षेत्र कमरऊ गांव में समाजसेवा की मिसाल पेश करते हुए हिमाचल प्रदेश युवा कांग्रेस के पूर्व महासचिव एवं माइन ओनर व्यवसायी श्री कंवर सिंह ठाकुर और उनके छोटे भाई श्री अनिल ठाकुर ने अपनी नेक कमाई से राजकीय प्राथमिक केंद्र पाठशाला कमरऊ के सभी विद्यार्थियों को नई वर्दियां भेंट कीं। विद्यालय में वर्दी वितरण के दौरान बच्चों के चेहरों पर मुस्कान थी और गांव में हर जुबान पर बस यही बात — “ऐसे युवा ही समाज की पहचान हैं!” विद्यालय प्रबंधन समिति की अध्यक्षा श्रीमती संगीता ठाकुर और शिक्षकों ने कहा कि ठाकुर भाइयों का यह कदम हमेशा यादगार रहेगा। मुख्य शिक्षक श्री बाबूराम शर्मा, अध्यापक चतर सिंह ठाकुर और अध्यापिका कल्पना पुंडीर ने बताया कि गांव के ये युवा व्यवसायी हमेशा बच्चों को प्रोत्साहन देते रहते हैं, जिससे शिक्षा के प्रति नई ऊर्जा पैदा होती है।

वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए विद्यालय को माइन ओनर श्री नरेंद्र ठाकुर और श्री कुलदीप सिंह ठाकुर ने गोद लिया है। दोनों समय-समय पर विद्यालय की देखभाल करते हुए बच्चों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के लिए कार्यरत रहते हैं। विद्यालय प्रबंधन समिति और अध्यापकों ने सभी उद्योगपतियों का आभार और शुभकामनाएं व्यक्त करते हुए कहा —“इनकी नेक कमाई में दिन दूनी, रात चौगुनी तरक्की हो, बच्चों की मुस्कान ही इनकी सच्ची कमाई हो।” कार्यक्रम के अंत में केंद्रीय मुख्य शिक्षक श्री बाबूराम शर्मा और श्री चतर सिंह ठाकुर ने मुख्य अतिथि श्री कंवर सिंह ठाकुर, श्री अनिल ठाकुर, श्री नरेंद्र सिंह ठाकुर, श्री कुलदीप सिंह ठाकुर तथा उपस्थित गणमान्य व्यक्तियों का आभार जताया।

Setting an example of social service in Kamaru village, a remote area of Sirmaur district, former Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress General Secretary and mine owner businessman Mr. Kanwar Singh Thakur and his younger brother Mr. Anil Thakur used their honest earnings to gift new uniforms to all the students of the Government Primary School Kamaru. Smiles were on the children’s faces during the uniform distribution, and the only refrain on everyone’s lips was, “Such youth are the identity of society!” School Management Committee Chairperson Mrs. Sangeeta Thakur and teachers said that this gesture by the Thakur brothers will always be remembered. Head teacher Mr. Baburam Sharma, teacher Chatar Singh Thakur, and teacher Kalpana Pundir said that these young businessmen of the village always encourage the children, which instills a new energy for education.

For the year 2025-26, the school has been adopted by mine owners Mr. Narendra Thakur and Mr. Kuldeep Singh Thakur. Both of them take care of the school from time to time and work for the bright future of the children.
