सिरमौर जिले के नाहन विधानसभा क्षेत्र के सबसे बड़े ब्लैक स्पॉट नेहली पर अब लोक निर्माण विभाग (PWD) ने युद्धस्तर पर काम शुरू कर दिया है। यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए, नाहन वाया जमटा-रेणुका जी मार्ग को आज बुधवार शाम 3:00 बजे तक सभी तरह के यातायात के लिए पूरी तरह से बंद कर दिया गया है। यह सुरक्षात्मक कदम इसलिए उठाया गया है क्योंकि नेहली ब्लैक स्पॉट पर भारी भूस्खलन का खतरा मंडरा रहा है। बीते दो दिनों की बारिश के कारण यहाँ की चट्टानें रुक-रुक कर गिर रही थीं, और खतरनाक मलबा तथा चट्टानें कभी भी किसी बड़ी अनहोनी को जन्म दे सकती थीं। इस गंभीर खतरे की स्थिति को भाँपते हुए PWD नाहन ने तुरंत पोकलैंड और अन्य मशीनरी लगाकर चिन्हित किए गए ब्लैक स्पॉट को सुरक्षित करने और खतरनाक चट्टानों को हटाने का कार्य शुरू कर दिया है।

लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिशासी अभियंता आलोक जवनेजा ने इस खबर की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि मौके पर मशीनरी लगा दी गई है और लगातार मालवा गिरने के क्रम को देखते हुए सड़क को सभी प्रकार के वाहनों की आवाजाही के लिए प्रशासन की अनुमति से अवरूद्ध कर दिया गया है। उन्होंने आम जनता से सहयोग की अपील की है और बताया कि छोटे वाहन वैकल्पिक मार्ग जमटा वाया बिरला-ददाहू होते हुए श्री रेणुका जी आदि क्षेत्रों की तरफ जा सकते हैं। विभाग का लक्ष्य है कि कार्य जल्द से जल्द पूरा हो ताकि मार्ग को सुरक्षित रूप से खोला जा सके और बिलासपुर जैसे भीषण हादसे की पुनरावृत्ति को रोका जा सके।

The Public Works Department (PWD) has begun work on a war footing at Nehli, the largest black spot in the Nahan assembly constituency of Sirmaur district. To ensure the safety of travelers, the Nahan via Jamta-Renuka Ji road has been completely closed to all traffic until 3:00 pm today, Wednesday. This precautionary measure has been taken because there is a looming threat of a massive landslide at the Nehli black spot. Due to the past two days of rain, rocks have been falling intermittently, and dangerous debris and rocks could cause a major disaster at any time. Anticipating this serious danger, the Nahan Public Works Department (PWD) immediately deployed Pokland and other machinery to secure the identified black spot and remove the dangerous rocks.

Alok Javneja, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, confirmed the news, stating that machinery has been deployed on the spot and, in view of the continuous landslides, the road has been closed to all types of vehicles with the permission of the administration. He appealed for cooperation from the public and stated that small vehicles can take the alternative route via Jamta, Birla-Dadahu, towards Shri Renuka Ji and other areas. The department’s goal is to complete the work as soon as possible so that the road can be safely reopened and a repeat of a devastating accident like the one in Bilaspur can be prevented.
