पांवटा पुलिस ने बीते कल एक बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए शहर में एक अध्यापक को कोरेक्स की अवैध तस्करी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, आरोपी की पहचान यादवेन्द्र सिंह पुत्र हुक्म सिंह निवासी वरदान भवन, नजदीक पुलिस कॉलोनी ददाहू, तहसील ददाहू, जिला सिरमौर (हि.प्र.) के रूप में हुई है। जानकारी के अनुसार, पुलिस टीम ने गर्ल्स स्कूल के समीप संदिग्ध स्थिति में खड़ी एक मारुति बलेनो (नंबर HP71-6317, बरंग ग्रे रंग) की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान गाड़ी से 10 प्लास्टिक की शीशियां (प्रत्येक 100 एमएल) ट्रिप्रोलिडीन हाइड्रोक्लोराइड और कोडीन फॉस्फेट सिरप (Lykarex-T cough syrup) बरामद की गईं।

प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया है कि यह खांसी की दवा अत्यधिक नशीले तत्वों से युक्त होती है, जिसका प्रयोग नशे के रूप में भी किया जाता है। पुलिस ने आरोपी को मौके पर ही हिरासत में लेकर एनडीपीएस अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है। बताया जा रहा है कि आरोपी एक अध्यापक के रूप में कार्यरत है, जिससे यह मामला और गंभीर हो गया है। पुलिस अब यह पता लगाने में जुटी है कि आरोपी इन दवाओं की सप्लाई कहां और किसे करता था।आरोपी को आज न्यायालय में पेश किया जाएगा, जहां से आगे की कार्रवाई तय होगी। पुलिस ने कहा कि शहर में नशे के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत यह कार्रवाई एक बड़ी सफलता मानी जा रही है।

Paonta police yesterday took a major action and arrested a teacher in the city on the charge of illegal smuggling of Corex. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Yadavendra Singh son of Hukum Singh, resident of Vardaan Bhawan, near Police Colony Dadahu, Tehsil Dadahu, District Sirmaur (HP). According to the information, the police team searched a Maruti Baleno (number HP71-6317, off-grey colour) parked in suspicious condition near the girls school. During the search, 10 plastic vials (each 100 ml) of Triprolidine Hydrochloride and Codeine Phosphate Syrup (Lykarex-T cough syrup) were recovered from the vehicle.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that this cough medicine contains highly narcotic substances, which are also used as a drug. Police detained the accused on the spot and registered a case under the NDPS Act. It is being reported that the accused works as a teacher, which makes the matter even more serious. Police are now trying to find out where and to whom the accused supplied these medicines. The accused will be produced in court today, where further action will be decided. Police said that this action is being considered a major success under the campaign being run against drugs in the city.
