अतिरिक्त जिला दंडाधिकारी एलआर वर्मा ने आज पांवटा साहिब में आयोजित तीन दिवसीय राज्य स्तरीय यमुना शरद महोत्सव की दूसरी संध्या में बतौर मुख्यातिथि शिरकत की। एल आर वर्मा ने दीप प्रज्वलित कर दूसरी सांस्कृतिक संध्या का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया। इस से पूर्व उन्होंने यमुना घाट पर यमुना आरती में भी भाग लिया। इस अवसर पर जनसमूह को सम्बोधित करते हुए उन्होंने ने क्षेत्रवासियों को राज्य स्तरीय यमुना शरद महोत्सव की शुभकमनाएं दी तथा उन्होंने कहा कि इस वर्ष शरद महोत्सव को अलग अंदाज़ में मनाने का प्रयास किया गया है जोकि सराहनीय कदम है। उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्रवासियों को यह प्रयास अच्छा लगे ऐसी कामना करता हूं। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे आयोजनों से सौहार्द एवं आपसी भाईचारे की भावना सुदृढ़ होती है।

उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी सुदृढ़ समाज की नींव उसकी समृद्ध संस्कृति पर ही निर्भर करती है। मेलों व त्यौहारों के माध्यम से जहां हमें अपने रीति-रिवाजों व परम्पराओं को संजोए रखने का मौका मिलता है, वहीं भावी पीढ़ी को भी अपनी संस्कृति को देखने व जानने का मौका मिलता है।इस अवसर पर एसडीएम पाँवटा साहिब गुंजीत सिंह चीमा ने टोपी शॉल व स्मृति चिन्ह भेंटकर मुख्यातिथि को सम्मानित किया।इस अवसर पर तहसीलदार ऋषभ शर्मा, नगर परिषद की चेयरपर्सन निर्मल कौर, उपाध्यक्ष ओम प्रकाश कटारिया तथा नगर परिषद के पार्षदों सहित अध्यक्ष हिमोत्कर्ष राजेंद्र तिवारी व अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद रहे।

Additional District Magistrate LR Verma today attended the second evening of the three-day state-level Yamuna Sharad Mahotsav held in Paonta Sahib as the chief guest. LR Verma formally inaugurated the second cultural evening by lighting a lamp. Prior to this, he also participated in the Yamuna Aarti at the Yamuna Ghat. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, he wished the residents of the area a happy state-level Yamuna Sharad Mahotsav and said that this year an effort has been made to celebrate the Sharad Mahotsav in a different way, which is a commendable step. He said that he hopes that the residents of the area will enjoy this effort. He said that such events strengthen the spirit of harmony and mutual brotherhood.

He said that the foundation of any strong society depends on its rich culture. Through fairs and festivals, while we get a chance to preserve our customs and traditions, the future generation also gets a chance to see and know about our culture. On this occasion, SDM Paonta Sahib Gunjeet Singh Cheema honored the chief guest by presenting him a cap, shawl and a memento. Tehsildar Rishabh Sharma, Municipal Council Chairperson Nirmal Kaur, Vice President Om Prakash Kataria and councilors of the Municipal Council along with President Himotkarsh Rajendra Tiwari and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
