पांवटा साहिब में यमुना शरद महोत्सव 2025 के अवसर पर नगर में पहली बार बड़े पैमाने पर सामूहिक नसबंदी एवं टीकाकरण अभियान आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यह अभियान पशुपालन एवं पशु चिकित्सा विभाग, नगरपालिका समिति, रोटरी इंटरनेशनल तथा स्थानीय स्वयंसेवकों के सहयोग से चलाया जा रहा है। इस अनोखी पहल का उद्देश्य न केवल आवारा कुत्तों की संख्या को वैज्ञानिक तरीके से नियंत्रित करना है, बल्कि इनके स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा के साथ-साथ आमजन की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना भी है। इस अभियान के माध्यम से लगभग 350 से अधिक स्ट्रीट डॉग्स को कवर करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।यह कार्यक्रम माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा हाल ही में दिए गए दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुरूप हिमाचल प्रदेश में पहली बार बड़े स्तर पर लागू किया जा रहा है।

On the occasion of Yamuna Sharad Mahotsav 2025, Paonta Sahib is organizing a large-scale mass sterilization and vaccination drive for the first time in the city. The drive is being conducted in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, the Municipal Committee, Rotary International, and local volunteers. This unique initiative aims to not only scientifically control the stray dog population but also ensure their health and safety, as well as the safety of the general public. The campaign aims to cover over 350 street dogs. This program is being implemented on a large scale for the first time in Himachal Pradesh, in accordance with recent guidelines issued by the Honorable Supreme Court.
