शहीद सोहन सिंह मेमोरियल राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय मानपुर देवड़ा के प्रांगण में जिला स्तरीय अंडर-19 (लड़कों) फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिता का भव्य शुभारंभ हुआ। दो दिवसीय इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 13 टीमें अपना दमखम दिखा रही हैं।उद्घाटन समारोह का शुभारंभ टूर्नामेंट कमिश्नर प्रभारी विनोद शंकर (डीपीई), विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य अनिल कुमार नागवाल, निर्णायक समिति के सदस्य नरेंद्र नेगी व मनीष टंडन, एसएमसी अध्यक्ष विक्रम तोमर, तथा एसएमसी सदस्य हरविंदर सैनी और राजेंद्र ने संयुक्त रूप से किया।इस अवसर पर जिलेभर के नामचीन स्कूलों व संस्थानों की टीमें मैदान में उतरीं।

इनमें राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय (बॉयज़) तारूवाला, पांवटा साहिब, रिहंत स्कूल नाहन, राजकीय 10+2 विद्यालय माजरा, बी.के.डी. पांवटा साहिब, ए.के.एम. ददाहु, बीवी जीत कौर पांवटा साहिब, वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय (बॉयज़) नाहन, करियर एकेडमी नाहन, कैंट स्कूल नाहन, डीएवी स्कूल पांवटा साहिब, स्कॉलर होम पांवटा साहिब, रोज ऑर्चर्ड पांवटा साहिब और बड़ू साहिब अकाल एकेडमी शामिल हैं।खिलाड़ियों से परिचय लेने के बाद अतिथियों ने उन्हें खेल भावना के साथ खेलने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। प्रतियोगिता का माहौल जोश और रोमांच से भरपूर रहा। यह प्रतियोगिता खिलाड़ियों को न सिर्फ अपने खेल कौशल को निखारने का अवसर देगी, बल्कि राज्य और राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पहचान बनाने का भी मार्ग प्रशस्त करेगी।

The district level Under-19 (Boys) Football Competition was inaugurated with great pomp in the premises of Shaheed Sohan Singh Memorial Government Senior Secondary School, Manpur Deora. A total of 13 teams are showing their strength in this two-day competition. The inaugural ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Tournament Commissioner in-charge Vinod Shankar (DPE), school Principal Anil Kumar Nagwal, Jury Committee members Narendra Negi and Manish Tandon, SMC President Vikram Tomar, and SMC members Harvinder Saini and Rajendra. On this occasion, teams from renowned schools and institutions from across the district took to the field.

These included Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) Taruwala, Paonta Sahib, Rihant School Nahan, Government 10+2 School Majra, B.K.D. Paonta Sahib, A.K.M. Dadahu, Biwi Jeet Kaur Paonta Sahib, Senior Secondary School (Boys) Nahan, Career Academy Nahan, Cantt School Nahan, DAV School Paonta Sahib, Scholar Home Paonta Sahib, Rose Orchard Paonta Sahib, and Baru Sahib Akal Academy. After introducing the players, the guests encouraged them to play with sportsmanship. The atmosphere of the competition was full of enthusiasm and excitement. This competition will not only provide the players with an opportunity to hone their sports skills but will also pave the way for them to gain recognition at the state and national level.
