हिमाचल प्रदेश में पर्यटन के विविध आयामों को विस्तार देने की दिशा में राज्य सरकार नई पहल कर रही है। मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने लाहौल-स्पीति के काजा में स्टार गेजिंग सुविधा का शुभारंभ किया है। इससे स्थानीय लोगों को स्वरोजगार के अवसर मिलेंगे और क्षेत्र की अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूती मिलेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्पीति का स्वच्छ वातावरण खगोल पर्यटन और स्टार गेजिंग के लिए सर्वोत्तम है। स्थानीय युवाओं को उच्च स्तरीय कम्प्यूटरीकृत दूरबीन उपलब्ध करवाई गई है ताकि वे पर्यटकों को तारामंडल की झलक दिखा सकें। काजा, लांगजा और रंगरिक क्षेत्रों के लोग इस सुविधा का लाभ उठाने के लिए आगे आ रहे हैं।

लाभार्थियों को प्रशिक्षण भी दिया जा रहा है। स्पीति के लांगजा गांव को जीवाश्म गांव भी कहा जाता है। यहां मिले पुरातन जीवाश्म और धार्मिक मान्यताओं के कारण यह क्षेत्र पर्यटकों के आकर्षण का केंद्र है। नई पहल से शोधकर्ताओं, खगोलविदों और पर्यटकों को विज्ञान और संस्कृति का अनोखा संगम देखने को मिलेगा। इससे स्थानीय होम-स्टे और होटल कारोबारियों को भी लाभ होगा। जुलाई 2025 तक स्पीति और लांगजा में 1,58,580 देशी और 4,570 विदेशी पर्यटक पहुंचे। प्रदेश सरकार सीमा पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों में भी सक्रिय है। भारत और चीन ने शिपकी-ला मार्ग से कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा शुरू करने पर सहमति जताई है। साथ ही लिपुलेख, शिपकी-ला और नाथू-ला से सीमा व्यापार को दोबारा खोलने की तैयारी है।

The state government is taking new initiatives to expand various dimensions of tourism in Himachal Pradesh. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated a stargazing facility in Kaza, Lahaul-Spiti. This will provide self-employment opportunities to local people and strengthen the region’s economy. The Chief Minister said that Spiti’s clean environment is ideal for astrotourism and stargazing. Local youth have been provided with high-end computerized telescopes so that they can show tourists a glimpse of the constellations. People from Kaza, Langza, and Rangrik areas are coming forward to take advantage of this facility.

Training is also being provided to beneficiaries. Langza village in Spiti is also known as the Fossil Village. The ancient fossils and religious beliefs found here make this area a major tourist attraction. This new initiative will offer researchers, astronomers, and tourists a unique blend of science and culture. This will also benefit local homestay and hoteliers. By July 2025, Spiti and Langza received 158,580 domestic and 4,570 foreign tourists. The state government is also actively promoting border tourism. India and China have agreed to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via the Shipki-La route. Preparations are underway to reopen border trade through Lipulekh, Shipki-La, and Nathu-La.
