हिमाचल प्रदेश महिला विकास निगम के निदेशक मंडल ने मंगलवार को 51वीं निदेशक मंडल बैठक में शिक्षा ऋण की सीमा को मौजूदा 75,000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर तीन लाख रुपये करने को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। स्वरोजगार योजना में रोजगार ऋण की सीमा को मौजूदा एक लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर तीन लाख रुपये करने को भी स्वीकृति दी गई। स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. (कर्नल) धनीराम शांडिल ने राज्य सचिवालय में बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए कहा कि इस उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि से निगम की ओर से कार्यान्वित योजनाओं का लाभ उठाने के लिए अधिक महिलाएं आकर्षित होंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़ी महिलाओं को लाभ प्रदान करने के लिए निगम की ओर से विभिन्न योजनाएं कार्यान्वित की जा रही हैं। इन शिविरों के माध्यम से महिलाओं को निगम की ओर से संचालित महिला कल्याण के कार्यों से जुड़ी जानकारी प्रदान करने में सहायता मिलेगी।

मंत्री शांडिल ने बताया कि 10 अप्रैल 1989 को गठित निगम का मुख्य उद्देश्य बिना किसी भेदभाव के महिलाओं का सामाजिक और आर्थिक उत्थान सुनिश्चित करना है। निगम महिलाओं को शिक्षा ग्रहण करने के लिए न्यूनतम 4 प्रतिशत ब्याज दर पर और रोजगार के लिए 6 प्रतिशत ब्याज दर पर ऋण प्रदान करता है। महिला विकास निगम ने अपनी स्थापना से अब तक 13,551 महिलाओं को लाभान्वित करते हुए 69.36 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के ऋण प्रदान किए हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त लाभार्थी महिलाओं को 2.64 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की ब्याज सब्सिडी प्रदान की गई है। निदेशक मंडल ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 के लिए निगम की प्रस्तावित कार्य योजना और वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 तथा 2022-23 के बैलेंस शीट सहित विभिन्न मुद्दों को स्वीकृति प्रदान की।

The Board of Directors of the Himachal Pradesh Women Development Corporation approved increasing the education loan limit from the current Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 3 lakh in its 51st Board meeting on Tuesday. Approval was also given to increase the employment loan limit under the Self-Employment Scheme from the current Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh. Health Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhaniram Shandil, presiding over the meeting at the State Secretariat, said that this significant increase would attract more women to avail the benefits of the schemes implemented by the Corporation. He added that the Corporation is implementing various schemes to benefit economically backward women. These camps will help provide information to women regarding the women’s welfare activities conducted by the Corporation.

Minister Shandil stated that the Corporation, formed on April 10, 1989, aims to ensure the social and economic upliftment of women without any discrimination. The Corporation provides loans to women for education at a minimum interest rate of 4 percent and for employment at a maximum interest rate of 6 percent. Since its inception, the Women’s Development Corporation has provided loans totaling over ₹69.36 crore, benefiting 13,551 women. Additionally, interest subsidies of over ₹2.64 crore have been provided to the beneficiary women. The Board of Directors approved various matters, including the Corporation’s proposed action plan for the fiscal year 2025-26 and the balance sheets for the fiscal years 2021-22 and 2022-23.
