हिमाचल में सीमैंट अब सस्ता हो गया है। जीएसटी की 2 स्लैब समाप्त होने के साथ ही आम लोगों को महंगाई से बड़ी राहत मिली है। सीमैंट जीएसटी की 28 फीसदी की स्लैब समाप्त होने के साथ ही 18 फीसदी की स्लैब के दायरे में आ गया है। सोमवार से जीएसटी की नई दरें लागू हो गई हैं। इसके कारण प्रदेश में पहली बार सीमैंट के रेट में 30 से 40 फीसदी की गिरावट हुई है। सोलन में भी सीमैंट 30 रुपए सस्ता हो गया है। सीमैंट के रेट अब 380 रुपए प्रति बैग हो गए हैं। आने वाले दिनों में रेट में और भी गिरावट हो सकती है क्योंंकि जीएसटी में 10 फीसदी की हुई कमी को लेकर कुछ कैल्कुलेशन की जा रही है।

यह पहला अवसर है कि जब सीमैंट के रेट में 30 से 40 फीसदी तक की गिरावट हुई है। इससे पूर्व सीमैंट के रेट में बढ़ौतरी ही हो रही थी। यही कारण है कि पिछले 2-3 वर्षों में सीमैंट के रेट करीब 150 से 200 रुपए तक बढ़ गए थे। हालांकि यह बढ़ौतरी 5 रुपए से लेकर 15 रुपए के बीच में होती थी लेकिन इस बार सीमैंट के रेट 30 से 40 रुपए तक कम हो गए हैं। अब जीएसटी की 5 व 18 फीसदी की दरें ही रहेंगी, जबकि 12 फीसदी व 28 फीसदी की स्लैब समाप्त हो गई है।

28 फीसदी वाले उत्पाद 18 फीसदी व 12 फीसदी वाले उत्पाद 5 फीसदी वाले स्लैब में शामिल हो गए हैं। इससे इन वस्तुओं के दामों में गिरावट होगी। सीमैंट डिलर आशु ठाकुर ने बताया कि सोलन में सीमैंट 30 रुपए तक सस्ता हो गया है। इससे आम लोगों को बड़ी राहत मिली है। जीएसटी की 28 फीसदी की स्लैब समाप्त होने के कारण यह संभव हुआ है।

Cement dealer Ashu Thakur said that cement has become cheaper by up to 30 rupees in Solan, bringing significant relief to the general public. This has been made possible by the elimination of the 28% GST slab.
