हिमाचल प्रदेश के शीतकालीन स्कूलों में इस बार वार्षिक परीक्षाएं दिसंबर के पहले हफ्ते से शुरू होंगी। पंचायत और शहरी निकाय चुनावों के चलते शिक्षा विभाग ने जल्द परीक्षाएं लेने का फैसला किया है। राज्य चुनाव आयोग के पत्र पर स्कूल शिक्षा निदेशक ने समग्र शिक्षा के परियोजना कार्यालय को परीक्षाओं के लिए तैयारियां शुरू करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। प्रदेश में हर वर्ष दिसंबर के दूसरे और तीसरे हफ्ते में पहली से आठवीं कक्षा की परीक्षाएं शुरू होती रही हैं। राज्य चुनाव आयोग की ओर से पंचायतीराज संस्थानों और शहरी स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव इस वर्ष दिसंबर के अंत तक करवाए जाने की संभावना है।

इसके चलते शिक्षा विभाग ने महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेते हुए शीतकालीन स्कूलों में पहली से आठवीं कक्षा तक की वार्षिक परीक्षाओं का शेड्यूल एक सप्ताह पहले करने का फैसला किया है। राज्य चुनाव आयोग ने सरकार को अवगत करवाया है कि चुनावी प्रक्रिया के संचालन के लिए विद्यालय परिसरों, फर्नीचर और स्टाफ की आवश्यकता होगी। पंचायत और शहरी निकाय चुनाव सांविधानिक दायित्व है, ऐसे में परीक्षा कार्यक्रम में संशोधन किया जाए। शिक्षा विभाग की ओर से जारी निर्देशों में कहा गया है कि अब शीतकालीन स्कूलों की वार्षिक (एसए-दो) परीक्षाएं निर्धारित तिथि से एक सप्ताह पूर्व आयोजित की जाएंगी। विभाग ने सभी उपनिदेशकों, प्रधानाचार्यों और अध्यापकों को निर्देश दिए हैं कि वे परीक्षाओं के लिए समय से पूरा करने की अभी से तैयारी कर लें।

On the letter of the State Election Commission, the Director of School Education has instructed the Project Office of Samagra Shiksha to start preparations for the examinations. Every year, the examinations of classes 1 to 8 have been starting in the second and third week of December in the state. The State Election Commission is likely to conduct the elections of Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies by the end of December this year.

Due to this, the Education Department has taken an important decision and has decided to advance the schedule of annual examinations of classes 1 to 8 in winter schools by a week. The State Election Commission has informed the government that school premises, furniture and staff will be required for conducting the election process. Panchayat and urban body elections are a constitutional obligation, hence the examination schedule should be amended. In the instructions issued by the Education Department, it has been said that now the annual (SA-2) examinations of winter schools will be held a week before the scheduled date. The department has instructed all deputy directors, principals and teachers to start preparing now to complete the examinations on time.
